On June 3, Label SJ finally released an official statement regarding Super Junior’s group comeback this year.

Label SJ official statement wrote:
” Hello, this is Label SJ.
We are giving a notice regarding Super Junior’s group activities that are scheduled to take place in the second half of this year.
After a discussion with the members, we have decided that nine members including Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun will be participating in upcoming promotions for Super Junior’s ninth studio album.
Kangin and Sungmin, who will not be participating in group activities, plan to promote with individual activities in the future.
The exact comeback date for Super Junior is currently being discussed. Since this is their first studio album in a long time after all of the members have completed their mandatory military duties, we ask that you show a lot of interest and support. Thank you.”
The label released this after the problem on the “full member” comeback resurfaced again. This was after Kangin decided to come back on the entertainement scene with a webdrama. The news on the webdrama received backlash from some ELF (SJ fans) as well as positive reactions. This led to a heated online arguments between the fans. The online arguments eventually led to a “Boycott Threat” from the local fans.
The label issued the statement to hopefully pacify the fans and once and for all stop all the assumptions regarding SJ’s 9th album and restore peace within the fandom.
We hope that this issue is resolved and the anticipation for the 9th album finally starts.
Let’s start by supporting Yesung’s solo comeback this June!
