Can you believe it’s been a decade since we first saw the korean version of F4? Yes, it’s been 10 years since the hit South Korean Drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ premiered. The first episode aired on January 5, 2009.
Boys Over Flowers is a South Korean drama that earned high viewership ratings in South Korea and popularity throughout Asia. Of course bes, kasama na dyan ang Philippines, most of the fans nowadays started to like kdrama after watching this series. It stars Gu Hye Sun, Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon.
The series follows the story of an average girl who gets involved in the lives of an arrogant rich boy and his friends. It is based in the Japanese Manga Series Hana Yori Dango written by Yoko Kamio. The drama is the fifth television adaptation of the manga following the Taiwanese Meteor Garden, and its sequel Meteor Garden II, Japanese Hana Yori Dango, and its sequel Hana Yori Dango II.

Geum Jan Di
Geum Jan Di is a dry cleaner’s daughter, who is offered a scholarship to attend the prestigious Shinhwa High School. Headstrong, optimistic, stubborn, and kind-hearted, Jan Di readily stands up for her friends when they are being bullied.
The character was portrayed by Gu Hye Sun when she was 26 years old.
Currently, she is married to actor Ahn Jae Hyun. They started dating since April 2015. The couple officially registered their marriage at the Gangnam district office on May 20, 2016 and married on May 21, 2016.

Gu Jun Pyo
Gu Jun Pyo is the leader of the F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. He is hot-tempered and believes that there is nothing that money can’t buy. Though he’s unable to express his feelings, deep down, he has a heart of gold.

Little Gu Jun Pyo was played by Jung Chan Woo when he was 12 year old.
Currently, he is known as a vocalist and the youngest member of South Korean boy group iKON, signed under YG Entertainment.
-Kang Han Byul
Little Gu Jun Pyo was played by Kang Han Byul when he was 8 years old.
Following his portrayal in BOF, he appeared in various dramas, recently he appeared in the kdrama Orange Marmalade.
Yoon Ji Hoo
Yoon Ji Hoo is a member of the F4 and the grandson of a former president of Korea. He has a driving phobia after being involved in a car accident that killed his parents and left him the only survivor. He is initially in love with his childhood friend, who helped him overcome his social anxiety.

The character was portrayed by the kpop idol SS501’s member, Kim Hyun Joong when he was 24 years old. Due to his commercial success, he became one of the sought after Hallyu stars in Korea.
In December 2015, a paternity test revealed that the actor was the father of a baby that his ex-girlfriend had given birth to.
He came back to the small screen in the 2018 kdrama, When Time Stopped.
-Nam Da Reum
Little Yoon Ji Hoo was played by the adorable 6 year old Nam Da Reum.

Kim Bum played this role when he was 21 years old.
Presently, Kim made his small-screen comeback in tvN’s crime thriller Hidden Identity in 2015. He starred in another crime thriller Mrs. Cop 2, and earned praise for his portrayal of a villain.
In 2018, Kim appeared in Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead, the third installment in the comedy-mystery Detective K film series, marking his return to Korean cinemas after four years.
On March 29, 2018, it was confirmed that Kim is in a relationship with actress Oh Yeon Seo.
Little So Yi Jung was played by Moonbin when he was 12 years old.
He is now a kpop idol and a member of ‘Astro’. He is the Main Dancer and Lead Vocalist of the group.
Song Woo Bin
Song Woo Bin is a member of the F4, his family runs the country’s largest construction company, which Woo Bin later admits has strong connections to organized crime.
The character was portrayed by the rapper and a member of T-Max, Kim Joon when he was 26 years old.
In June 2018 it was reported Kim Joon has been married for three years to a non-celebrity and was a father of a child. He got married in 2015 to his then girlfriend whom he has been dating for nine years even before he debuted in the entertainment industry.
Chu Ga Eul
Kim Seo Eun portrayed Chu Gae Eul, Jan Di’s bestfriend.
In 2018, Kim starred in the romance comedy series That Man Oh Soo.
Ahn Suk Hwan who played Geum Jan Di’s father has been continually acting and recently appeared in the series Partners Of Justice, 100 Days My Prince, and Clean With Passion For Now.
Im Ye Jin played the mother of Jan Di. Recently, she appeared in the series’ My Only One.
