Get to know BTOB’s Youngest Member and Korean Actor, Yook Sungjae

I know that some of the fans, especially to those who are rookies on the K-drama and K-pop world, are starting to get curious about this cute maknae and the “credit card guy” in the hit 2016 Korean drama, Goblin.

Born on the 2nd day of May 1995. Sung-jae started his career as a vocalist and member of BTOB or Born To Beat on 2012 under Cube Entertainment.

In 2013, Sung-jae first appeared in the korean series Reply 1994 as Sung Na-jung’s (Go Ara) younger brother, Sung Sung-joon/Ssukssuk.

In 2014, Sung-jae joined fellow K-Pop Idols, Kang In of Super Junior and Amber of F(x) as a host for A Song For You, a korean music program which usually features Korean idols as their guests.
The same year, he received his first leading role in Plus Nine Boys alongside Kim Young-kwang and A-Pink’s Chorong.

In 2015, Sung-jae started to received recognitions as he is starred in two dramas, Who Are You: School 2015 alongside Kim So-Hyun and Nam Joo-Hyuk and The Village: Achiara’s Secret alongside Moon Geun-Young.
He won the “New Star Award” for his acting performance in The Village: Achiara’s Secret and “Best Couple Award” with Kim So-Hyun for Who Are You: School 2015.

Also in 2015, he joined the fourth season of the korean reality show, We Got Married with Joy of Red Velvet as his on-screen wife. This made him even more popular among the viewers.

In 2016 to 2017,  Sung-jae joined as one of the lead actors in the hit korean series, Goblin alongside with Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Yoo In-na and Lee Dong-wook. This is considered as his biggest break in his acting career. The drama was shown in different countries including the Philippines. Because of that, many K-drama avid viewers are started to recognized him and became his fan, some are even started to be a fan of his K-Pop group, BTOB.

On the 31st of December 2017, Sung-jae joined the cast of South Korean Reality-Variety show, Master in the House alongside Yang Se-hyung, Lee Sang-yoon and Lee Seung-gi.
