WOLF HOWL HARMONY releases ‘Gachi Funk’ Portuguese version
Japanese group WOLF HOWL HARMONY has dropped the Portuguese version of the chorus of their song “Gachi Funk” this October.
Shared as a sound for TikTok and Instagram on October 4, the song fuses J-pop with Brazilian funk, drawing on member GHEE’s Brazilian roots through his contribution to the lyrics.
“We hope that more people, not only in Brazil but across Latin America and around the world, will get to know WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s music,” according to GHEE.
“We hope that one day we can visit more countries, meet everyone face-to-face, and have more opportunities to sing together. The Portuguese version of ‘Gachi Funk’ is a step for us to connect with people around the world,” he added.
He also hoped to bring their music to audiences in Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina.
“Gachi Funk” Portuguese version comes after the Brazil debut of WOLF HOWL HARMONY at Anime Friends 2026 in São Paulo. They performed to around 30,000 attendees across two shows last July 2 and 5.
Fans sang the Portuguese lines during the vocal and rap group’s performance, proving that the track is a “natural crowd favorite.” The group is now aiming to reach more fans around the world after the enthusiastic welcome they received in Brazil.
Moreover, the Portuguese audio is part of the group’s larger push into Latin America. It builds on their Portuguese-language livestreams, Brazilian-themed social content, and fan meetups.
This move brings a familiar song closer to Brazilian listeners. It also gives new fans a new way to discover the group.
