Star-studded talented artists perform at IAM Worldwide’s “9RACE” anniversary celebration
IAM Worldwide celebrates their 9th anniversary this year!
On October 4, star-studded artists performed at IAM Worldwide’s “9RACE” (GRACE), in commemoration of their 9th Anniversary. It was not only a night of inspirational stories about life and wellness, but also one filled with joy and music, featuring six of the entertainment industry’s most talented artists: Dionela, KZ Tandingan, TJ Monterde, Iyaz, Secondhand Serenade, and Apl.De.Ap. They shared the stage that night, creating a wonderful, memorable evening through their music.
Dionela was the first artist who wowed the crowd with his soulful R&B voice. He started with his song, Oksihina. He said it was a pleasure to be included in the lineup and thanked IAM for the opportunity. He said it was his dream to perform at the Araneta Coliseum, and now it was fulfilled. He had come through with Dream Hoodie, Musika, one of his favorite OPM songs, Mundo by IV of Spades, Ne-Yo’s Because of You, and his hit songs, Marilag and Sining.
Iyaz hyped the crowd up with his electrifying songs, So Bad, Pretty Girls, One Million, and Solo. He also covered John Legend’s song All of Me in a reggae version and the 2010 song Pyramid. The party-like atmosphere continued with his song, Ok, Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus, and Fire Burning by Sean Kingston. His hit song, Replay, is also included in his setlist.
Our “Palagi Couple,” TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan, made everyone’s heart flutter that night when they sang their duet, Palagi. The crowd was screaming and cheering for the couple. They looked so sweet while performing that popular love song.
They performed individually as well. KZ began her set performing her song Toyo, followed by her amazing performances of Eraserheads’ songs Alapaap Pare Ko, Magasin, Overdrive, and Ang Huling El Bimbo. During her Imposible performance, she went down and joined the crowd. She wrapped her setlist with her own rendition of Rolling in the Deep.
On the other hand, TJ Monterde continued the celebration and started his setlist with his song, Sariling Mundo. Before he sang his song, Tulad Mo, he shared that he wrote that song for KZ Tandingan, now his wife, expressing how he feels toward her and how KZ is special to him. TJ also performed Parokya ni Edgar’s Harana and Hale’s Kung Wala Ka. Hanggang Dito Nalang and Ikaw at Ako were also included in his setlist. Like his wife, he also went down from the stage to meet the fans more closely.
Moreover, Secondhand Serenade performed Like a Knife, Your Call, Goodbye, Vulnerable, Fix You, and Awake, along with other nostalgic hits that brought the audience back to the unforgettable era of heartfelt acoustic ballads. The setlist is not complete without their hit song, Fall for You.
Up to the very last performance, the crowd’s energy was still there as Apl.de.ap performed the electrifying songs Let’s Get It Started, Boom Boom Pow, Bebot, and more. What a night! Thank you, IAM Worldwide, for bringing this exceptional lineup to your 9th anniversary.
