BTS throwback: Timeline of concerts in the Philippines

Less than six months left until BTS brings the ‘Arirang’ tour to the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan in March 2027 as part of their world tour.
As the Filipino ARMY awaits the highly anticipated return of the global K-pop sensation in the Philippines, let us take a trip down memory lane and look back at the past concerts of the group in the country.
BTS ‘Live Trilogy: Episode II – The Red Bullet’ in Manila
Just a year and a half after their debut in 2013, BTS first performed in the Philippines for “The Red Bullet” at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on December 7, 2014.
The tour setlist included songs such as “No More Dream,” “We are Bulletproof Pt.2,” and “Like” from their debut album “2 Cool 4 Skool.”
Songs from their first studio album “Dark & Wild,” such as “Danger” and “Hip Hop Phile,” as well as “Boy in Luv” and “Jump” from their second EP “Skool Luv Affair,” were also part of the setlist.
BTS ‘Live On Stage: Epilogue’ in Manila
BTS held their second concert “Epilogue in Manila” on July 30, 2016, at the SM MOA Arena.
The group performed title tracks such as “Dope”, “Save Me”, “Burning Up (Fire), and “I Need U.”
The setlist highlighted songs from “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1,” “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.2,” “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever,” and other songs from their past albums.
In September 2016, BTS performed at the same venue for the MBC Music Show Champion in Manila, the show’s special 200th episode.
The K-pop boy band performed hit tracks including “Fire” and “Save Me.”
BTS ‘Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour’ in Manila
BTS last performed in Manila during the “Wings” tour on May 6 to 7, 2017.
The boys performed a total of 23 songs, including seven solo stages namely: Begin (Jungkook solo), Lie (Jimin solo), First Love (Suga solo), Reflection (RM solo), Stigma (V solo), MAMA (J-Hope solo), and Awake (Jin solo).
BTS also performed tracks from their second studio album of the same name, “Wings,” such as “Blood Sweat & Tears” and “2!3!,” as well as “Outro: Wings” and “Spring Day” from their repackage album “You Never Walk Alone.”
BTS j-hope ‘Hope On The Stage’ in Manila
j-hope performed in the Philippines for a two-night stop of his solo concert “Hope On The Stage” at the SM MOA Arena on April 12 to 13, 2025.
The BTS’ rapper and dancer performed a total of 27 songs, including “More” and “Arson” from his first solo album “Jack in the Box” as well as “on the street (Solo Ver.)” and “i wonder” from his special album “Hope On The Street Vol.1.”
He also debuted his newer singles “Sweet Dreams” and “Mona Lisa.”
Other songs included colorful performances of “Outro: Ego,” “Daydream,” “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and “Hope World.”
BTS ‘Arirang’ in Bulacan
Nearly a decade since BTS’s “Wings” tour, the upcoming Arirang Bulacan concerts mark their long-awaited return to the Philippines’ concert stage.
The septet announced that they will be returning to the country last January 13 for a two-night show on March 13 to 14, 2027.
Last June, BTS added a third concert in Bulacan scheduled for March 16, 2027, following the first two dates’ sold-out shows.
The group kicked off their world tour with three shows in Goyang in South Korea last April 9.
“Arirang,” which is the same name as BTS’s sixth studio album, is the group’s first music comeback in three years and nine months. Featuring 14 songs, the album was released on March 20.
According to BigHit, “the members were deeply involved in the creation of the songs, infusing their own thoughts and colors into them while musically expressing the emotions and struggles they have experienced along their journey.”
The label added that the album is “packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share with ARMY, who have been waiting for their comeback as a whole group. Filled with the music that’s most true to BTS, the album is their heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there this whole time.”
BTS members Jimin, Jungkook, RM, V, and Suga completed their mandatory military service in South Korea last year.
Meanwhile, Jin and J-Hope completed their military service in 2024.
BTS debuted on June 13, 2013. The multiple Grammy-nominated group is known for their chart-topping hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” “Mic Drop,” and “DNA.”
