From J-rock to anime songs: Highlights from BURNOUT SYNDROMES first-ever concert in Manila

Japanese rock band BURNOUT SYNDROMES set the bar high as they gave fans an ultimate concert experience during their first-ever show here in Manila last September 5.

The Japanese duo fuyu, composed of Fumiya and Yukan, was also present at the event, and they performed as the opening act of the show. After the duo’s performance, fans welcomed BURNOUT SYNDROMES with loud cheers and excitement.

No doubt that PH fans really enjoyed the event and might probably rewatch Haikyu!! or Dr. STONE after attending the concert. But worry no more because BURNOUT SYNDROMES promised fans that they will come back to Manila.

Fans definitely want another concert from them, and with that, let’s look back at how exciting their first-ever concert was last Saturday. 

Amazing fan perks

Fans are so lucky to have these amazing fan perks, and yes, all ticket holders had the chance to have a photo op and hi-touch session with the band prior to the main show.

Imagine meeting the band behind your favorite anime songs? Yes, that’s a major win for both anime fans and BURNOUT SYNDROMES fans. It was truly a one-of-a-kind concert experience.

High-energy concert with superb setlist

BURNOUT SYNDROMES performed a lot of songs, and their energy is unstoppable! From J-rock songs to anime songs, fans sing along with their music. They performed the hit anime opening songs from sports anime Haikyu!! namely FLY HIGH!!, Hikariare, and PHOENIX.

Also present on the setlist are songs from sci-fi adventure anime Dr. STONE titled Good Morning World! and ROCKET. They also performed an ending song from Gintama titled Hanaichimonme.

It honestly feels like having a flashback of anime scenes while listening live to their performance.

The band’s deep passion for music

There’s this indescribable type of connection between fans and their music. Those lyrics grew into expressions, and from fans’ perspective, their songs became a source of comfort. The memory and the experience of attending this BURNOUT SYNDROMES concert is surely for keeps.

It was such an amazing feeling when you finally hear live the song that you repeatedly listen to. It’s kind of a mix of excitement and a surreal feeling. From just watching the anime opening song to having the chance to watch the live performance of the band behind it, that was a “pinch me” moment indeed. Also, being with people who share the same favorite music with you is truly an enjoyment.
