XG creates Xtraordinary moments with Filipino ALPHAZ at their “THE CORE” concert in Manila
Global group XG has returned to the Philippines after 2 years for their “THE CORE” tour stop in Manila, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last July 22, 2026. They previously went to the country for their “The first HOWL” tour in 2024.
Showing up in style with their space-inspired outfits, XG opened the show with a performance of “GALA,” met with loud cheers from Filipino ALPHAZ that revealed how much the fans awaited their return. XG got the party going with their high-energy tracks “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT,” “MASCARA,” “TGIF,” and “WOKE UP.”
“We’re so happy to be back. It’s such a special moment for us,” Maya said during their introduction. “Miss na miss ko kayo!” Juria added.
Setting the mood, XG proceeded to perform more groovy songs like “PUPPET SHOW,” “GRL GVNG,” “IN THE RAIN,” and “IYKYK” that all got the crowd vibing along.
In line with the concert’s central theme, XG presented live performances of their songs from their 1st full album “THE CORE,” such as “UP NOW,” “TAKE MY BREATH,” “ROCK THE BOAT,” and “O.R.B.” The rap line and vocal line each had the chance to showcase their distinct musical styles, composed of the hard-hitting track “PS118” and the acoustic song “4 SEASONS,” respectively.
XG kept the momentum going with their fan-favorite tracks “HYPNOTIZE,” “Tippy Toes,” “NO GOOD,” and “IS THIS LOVE,” which all received hot reactions from the audience.
“The energy tonight is incredible!” Cocona said.
XG came out for the encore with their performance of the iconic “SHOOTING STAR” that got everyone singing along. The group then participated in a game where random parts of their songs were played, putting their memory and quick reflexes to the test as they rushed into the correct formations and performed the matching choreography.
Taking a moment to slow down, XG gives a heartfelt performance of “MILLION PLACES,” a meaningful song dedicated to fans. The group then got up close to the audience during “NEW DANCE” as they went down the stage to have more personal interactions with ALPHAZ.
To end the night on a high note, XG performed their hit song “LEFT RIGHT,” bringing the Xtraordinary show to a close.
Meanwhile, Filipino fans prepared a pasted tarpaulin saying, “Out of a Million Places, we’re exactly where we’re meant to be with XG,” and hand banners saying, “XG + ALPHAZ: ONE CORE, ONE SOUL.”
“Thank you so much for being here with us tonight. We had so much fun! We will carry this special moment in our hearts, and we can’t wait to see all of you again!” Jurin said.
Before exiting the stage, XG shouted in unison, “ALPHAZ, mahal ko kayo!” making big hearts above their heads to convey their sincerity to the fans.
“We’ll be back,” Maya said. “Promise,” Harvey added.
