Jung Ilhoon paints memories with Filipino LOONEEs at his “1-DAY ART CLASS” Fan-Con in Manila
Jung Ilhoon has finally made his most-awaited return to the Manila concert stage for his 1st solo fan-con in the Philippines, “1-DAY ART CLASS,” held at the SM North EDSA Skydome last July 18, 2026.
Making his surprise entrance amidst the audience, Ilhoon starts off the night with a lively performance of his solo debut song “She’s Gone.” He was given a warm welcome with energetic cheers that showed the excitement of Filipino LOONEEs upon getting the chance to see him again.
Ilhoon then proceeded to perform “OASIS” and “Merry go round,” some of his recent releases that highlight his distinct musical style. “6 months ago, it would be hard to believe that I’ll be having this fan-con in the Philippines,” Ilhoon said during his introduction. “Many Filipino fans have been sending support to me. I think the reason why I’m here today is not because I’m good, but because of the support and love you’ve been sending me.”
While performing “closet,” Ilhoon and his dancers each took a sip out of a San Miguel beer can, to the delight of Filipino fans. He then shared that it was one of the best beers ever and that he enjoyed Jollibee’s Super Meal as well.
Bringing to mind his last visit to the country, Ilhoon recalled that it was 9 years ago when he last came to Manila. “From what I remember, it changed a lot. It became cooler. The energy is higher than before,” he said. Doing the fan-con made it feel like he’s traveling with LOONEEs, he added.
As a treat to the fans, LOONEEs were given the chance to participate in games where they could win special prizes and even play games with him personally on stage. During one of the segments, contestants played a telepathy game with Ilhoon where the poses belonged to the iconic Gwiyomi trend that he popularized. To top it off, Ilhoon did a 2026 version of Gwiyomi along with the winner, letting fans see his cute side again.
Getting up close to fans, Ilhoon performed “MICHAELANGELO” while going around the venue and interacting with LOONEEs. To keep the energy up, he proceeded with his “Devil Can Wait” and “Lullaby” performances, showcasing tracks that are part of his 1st full album “The Adam” released last year.
Another performance that the fans really loved was Ilhoon’s nostalgic 2019 track “Spoiler,” where he was able to show more of his vocals on top of his rap skills.
Meanwhile, Filipino LOONEEs prepared several fan projects for Ilhoon, including a pasted tarpaulin saying “Ilhoon, we’ve come to find that it’s you LOONEEs wanted for life,” lighted blue roses, and hand banners saying “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow—Forever Our Masterpiece, Ilhoon,” that were raised during Ilhoon’s “Moonwalk” performance.
Most especially, Ilhoon was surprised with a fan-made video that contained sincere messages from Filipino LOONEEs as well as previews of fan gatherings and events that were conducted for the artist. Ilhoon expressed how he was touched by it and that he would have cried like a child if he was watching at home.
“This is the real show. Mahal kita,” Ilhoon said in response. Earlier in the show, he also conveyed gratitude to his fans who have supported him throughout the years.
Nearing the end of the show, Ilhoon performed his latest release “Glory,” which is part of his RGB Signal project that started this year. “It’s so meaningful to sing these at Manila,” he said.
During the encore, Ilhoon requested fans to turn on their flashlights as he introduced an unreleased song, tentatively titled “the opposite of meeting and parting,” to the Filipino audience.
Making a promise with LOONEEs, Ilhoon expressed how he wants to do a concert in Manila again someday and that he hopes it happens soon. “I appreciate you guys supporting me again,” he said heartwarmingly.
