More about Jung Ilhoon

Jung Ilhoon, born on October 4, 1994, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, music producer, and actor. He made his debut in 2012 as the main rapper of the boy group BTOB.

Over the years, Ilhoon has collaborated with several artists, including 4Minute’s Gayoon, G.NA, HyunA, F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki, and his fellow BTOB members Hyunsik and Yook Sungjae. He also served as an assistant MC on the popular variety show Weekly Idol.

Did you know? Jung Ilhoon is credited with popularizing the iconic gestures for the “Gwiyomi Song,” which were inspired by gestures originally made by Choi Yujin.

He made his acting debut in 2015 through the web drama Webtoon Hero: Tundra Show. In 2017, he released his self-composed track “Fancy Shoes,” which was followed by the release of his first mini album, Big Wave, in March 2018. In February 2019, Ilhoon returned with the digital single “Spoiler,” featuring solo artist Babylon, further showcasing his talent as a singer-songwriter and producer.

After his hiatus, Jung Ilhoon made his comeback in October 2024 with his first solo art exhibition, “Tiny Ark,” followed by the release of his digital single “lullaby.”

In April 2025, he released his first full-length album, The Adam, with “Michaelangelo” serving as the album’s title track. He then held his first solo fancon in Seoul on May 10–11, 2025, where he met fans from different parts of the world.
