“Everyone’s KPOP: Battle of the Champions” Ignites Manila in a Spectacular Celebration of Philippine–Korea Friendship

What a night for Filipino talent and global pop culture! The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines lit up the stage of the iconic Manila Metropolitan Theater with the much-awaited “Everyone’s KPOP: Battle of the Champions,” a celebration of dance, passion, and unstoppable K-pop energy.

Held in honor of the 77th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Korea, the event transformed the historic venue into a powerhouse arena of talent, cheers, and cultural unity. The atmosphere was nothing short of explosive, as fans, performers, and cultural leaders gathered to celebrate a shared love for K-pop and the enduring friendship between the two nations.

From the very first beat drop, the competition delivered pure adrenaline.

ALPHA, MERAKI, PARADIGM, and WILDKARD each commanded the stage with jaw-dropping precision, charisma, and high-impact choreography. The crowd roared with every synchronized move and dramatic formation, proof that the Philippine K-pop cover dance scene is stronger than ever.

After an intense and thrilling showdown, PARADIGM emerged victorious as Grand Champion, claiming the crown in a finale that had the entire theater on its feet.

As if the competition wasn’t already unforgettable, the audience was treated to a breathtaking special performance by Venisse Siy, the Tagalog-singing voice of Mira from the Grammy-awarded hit K-pop Demon Hunters.

Her soaring rendition of “Golden” filled the Metropolitan Theater with emotion and power, creating one of the most talked-about highlights of the evening. It was a performance that perfectly captured the spirit of the event.

Star Power on the Panel

The championship night was guided by an extraordinary panel of judges whose global experience and industry expertise raised the bar even higher:

Lia Kim, world-renowned choreographer and co-founder of 1MILLION Dance Studio, brought legendary status and sharp technical insight to the competition. Her influence in the K-pop dance world is nothing short of iconic.

Gwyn Dorado, internationally recognized for her powerful performances on Sing Again 4, infused the panel with heartfelt artistry. She also delighted the audience with a stirring performance of “Rebirth” by Yoon Jong Shin.

The evening reached an even greater height with the special appearance of Her Excellency Kim Hea Kyung.

In her inspiring message, she celebrated the energy of Filipino youth and the unifying power of culture: “Through K-pop, one of the most representative forms of Korean culture, people around the world are becoming friends and learning to understand one another. I hope today’s event serves as a meaningful opportunity for us to appreciate each other’s cultures and build friendships.”
