“Made in Korea” becomes the most viewed Korean original premiere of 2025 on Disney+ in APAC

Following the success of the 2025 spy thriller series, Tempest, which became the number one most viewed Korean original premiere of 2025 on Disney+ globally, in APAC and in Korea, based on 5 days of streaming, Disney+ confirmed on February 9 that Made in Korea has officially become the number one most viewed Korean Original premiere of 2025 on Disney+ in APAC based on views after 28 days.

Released on December 24, 2025, Made in Korea is a crime thriller series set in the turbulent 1970s, depicting the intense tension between Baek Ki Tae, an ambitious man driven by a desire for wealth and power, and Jang Gun Young, a dedicated prosecutor determined to stop him. They will find themselves involved in an era-defining incident that will forever change their futures.

Hyun Bin transforms into a man who is consumed with a desire for wealth and power, named Baek Ki Tae, and Jung Woo Sung portrays the role of prosecutor Jang Gun Young, a stalwart prosecutor who stands in Baek Ki Tae’s way.

The drama also features other star-studded cast members, including Woo Do Hwan, Seo Eun Soo, Won Ji An, Jung Sung Il, Kang Gil Woo, Roh Jae Won, and Park Yong Woo.

Made in Korea season 2 has already begun production as confirmed during last year’s Disney+ Originals Preview at Hong Kong Disneyland.
