Calling all student storytellers! This is your chance to bridge two cultures through your own unique lens. Join this year’s Kwentong Korea 2026 Short Film Competition!

The Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines (KCC) has officially opened the gates for students nationwide to transform their creative concepts into cinematic reality. If you’ve ever dreamed of attending the Busan International Film Festival, your journey starts with a submission before June 30, 2026.

After the success of the first-ever short film competition, KCC Philippines continues to encourage student filmmakers and strengthen cultural exchange by inviting them to interpret Korean heritage through a uniquely Filipino perspective. This competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students nationwide. It provides aspiring filmmakers, storytellers, and enthusiasts with approximately six months to conceptualize, produce, and submit their short film entries.

This year’s Student Short Film Competition is all about bringing that fresh energy for 2026. KCC Philippines is sticking to what we love: sharing Korean culture while giving talented young Filipinos a real stage to show off their creative skills.
