Reliving the MAGIC in Jackson Wang’s MAGICMAN 2 concert in Manila!

This is MAGICMAN 2. It’s not an idea, it’s not a concept, it is everything I’ve learned. Every scar, every joy, every fall, every rise. Every song carries the weight of reality, humanity, and society. Not a magic, not inspired but lived. It is straight from my heart. Jackson Wang

After 3 years, PH Jackys and Ahgases had the chance to reunite with their precious Magic Man at his first-ever solo concert in Manila, MAGICMAN 2, held last November 2 at Araneta Coliseum.

The venue was filled with loud cheers as Jackson Wang kicked off the show with his song High Alone, doing the iconic powerful opening act when he soared above the stage wearing a harness. It was followed by the song, Access. “It’s been a while in Manila. It’s the first time we’re bringing the MAGICMAN tour here. I feel like tonight’s going to be fun,” he said. “Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo… Let’s have some fun!” Jackson shouted.

Jackson delivered not just a concert, but an immersive experience for everyone, based on the narrative and story of his entire album, and a theatrical cinematic experience that is visually pleasing.

One lucky fan also got to witness his Shadows on the Wall performance up close.

Jackson’s setlist also includes, Hate to Love, Not for Me, Blue, Everything, Long Gone, Dopamine, Buck, Let Loose, TITANIC, GBAD, and Made Me A Man. One of the heart-touching parts of the show was when they played a VCR featuring Jackson’s reflections on life, the people around him, and his career. He hopes that everyone can find their true self, their honesty, and intuition by giving themselves enough time, effort, and love. “Find your Magic and live the Magic, he said.

He hopes that the audience can take away not just the performance but also thoughts that can give everyone a sense of light, hope, and encouragement when they are in the darkest days.

During his encore, Jackson was so stunned by the energy of the crowd, giving the “Manila vibe” energy. He described it as crazy and insane. The fans were so happy when he joined the crowd, feeling the passionate energy in a closer way.

Towards the end of the show, he delivers an inspiring message, “As an entertainer, I hope I can entertain you. Don’t be so harsh to yourself. Be happy, find your own standard of happiness. As an entertainer, that’s all I want my audience, my fans, my followers to have.” He expressed his gratitude to everyone and said, “Salamat po.” He added, “And next time if I come back to Manila, we’re gonna be more crazy next time.”
