Ji Changwook, BINI, NTX, and BGYO dominate the stage at IAM Worldwide’s 8th anniversary show
IAM Worldwide produced a memorable event for fans with a brilliant lineup of Filipino and Korean stars for DOMIN8, their 8th anniversary show, held last October 19 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Starting off the show with strong performances, P-pop boy group BGYO turned up the crowd’s energy with their songs “Gigil,” “Dance with Me,” “All These Ladies,” and latest title track “Headlines.” The group’s charming presence made the fans swoon and established the right mood for the evening.
Filipino actress Marian Rivera then appeared on stage, glowing as she was welcomed to the stage with loud cheers. Her interaction with a fan whom she invited on stage for a photo and a short dance together gained wild reactions, especially when she allowed a kiss on the cheek.
Actor Alden Richards also joined Marian on stage, giving a pleasant surprise to the audience. He greeted everyone and congratulated IAM Worldwide for their 8th anniversary.
Switching up the atmosphere, Korean boy group NTX gave energetic performances of their songs “Circuit,” “STAY,” “WASSUP,” and “Like This.” The members also greeted the audience with the Filipino phrases they prepared, like “Pogi ako,” “Mahal ko kayo!” and “Lodi ako,” showing their eagerness to connect with the local crowd.
Yunhyeok shared, “This is the second time we visited the Philippines. It’s such an honor. Thank you so much. Mabuhay! Mahal ko kayo!”
As a surprise gift to Filipino fans, the group performed a cover of “Multo” by Cup of Joe, impressing the audience with their amazing vocals and harmony, and good pronunciation.
“It was an honor to introduce our team to Filipino fans. This project is really a great opportunity for our team,” Rawhyun said.
NTX also revealed the music video they filmed for IAM Worldwide’s new product, the IAM Gummies. Afterwards, they performed the English version of “OVER N OVER” that was featured in the video.
To introduce the highly-anticipated star of the night, NTX’s leaders Yunhyeok and Hyeongjin performed a cover of Ji Changwook’s “To the Butterfly,” the official soundtrack from the Korean drama Empress Ki. The duo wowed the audience with their remarkable voices and masterful delivery of emotions.
Receiving the highest energy yet that night, Ji Changwook made his grand entrance while riding a motorcycle on stage, striking everyone with his dashing visuals and biker look inspired by his endorsement shoot for IAM Worldwide.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the Philippines, but I’m so happy tonight to see all my fans in front of me,” he expressed.
Together with selected fans, Ji Changwook participated in a fun game of charades where he had to guess his K-drama that they were acting out. One lucky contestant was able to receive a big teddy bear from the actor. Ji Changwook also mentioned his new Disney+ series to be released, “The Manipulated.”
“Thank you so much for welcoming me tonight. I’ll make sure to come back with a lot of amazing projects so I hope that we could meet again,” the actor said.
Meanwhile, his Filipino fans and IAM Worldwide prepared a surprise video to show Ji Changwook their appreciation and deliver their messages to the actor.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for me to meet these wonderful people tonight. I would like to thank every single fan here tonight for staying this long just to see me. Until the day we meet again. I hope everyone stays healthy. Let’s see each other again!” Ji Changwook said as a goodbye.
Former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate Charlie Fleming was then welcomed as IAM Worldwide’s new brand ambassador, presenting a new product. Charlie performed a cover of “Oscar Winning Tears” by Raye, showing her charisma and powerful vocals.
As the last performer of the night, P-pop girl group BINI fired up the venue with their captivating performances of their tracks “Out of My Head,” “Shagidi,” “Cherry On Top,” “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” and “Salamin, Salamin,” displaying their incredible vocals and dynamic choreographies.
“Happy 8th anniversary IAM Worldwide! Maraming salamat sa paghihintay tonight. Alam namin napakahaba ng gabi pero naghintay pa rin kayo. Maraming salamat. We love you so much!” Maloi said.
