“DO it” concert in Manila: a BLISSful night with D.O. to remember!
When D.O. said last year that he would be back very soon, he really meant it!
On August 16, PH EXO-Ls and Dandanies had the chance to reunite again at D.O.’s first-ever “DO it” concert held at Mall of Asia Arena. The venue once again was filled with a beautiful silver ocean and loud cheers as the night star, D.O., entered the stage, kicking off the show with his song, Do You Remember? Followed by the songs, Nobody Knows It and Wonder. During the first three performances, the crowd was energetic and passionate as they warmly welcomed D.O.
“Mabuhay Philippines! Make some noise!” he officially welcomed everyone to his “DO it” concert. He was once again amazed by the unwavering energy of the Filipino crowd. He said he was worried because before the concert began, the rain was pouring so hard in the area. He posted on his Bubble app and reminded everyone to be careful going to the concert. “I was worried, if this heavy rain doesn’t stop, will the fans still come? But how’s the weather now? It’s so great! So happy, right?”
One of the touching parts of the show was when D.O. shared that he prepared his first full album, BLISS, with the thought in mind of giving courage and warmth to everyone who will listen to his songs, and while listening to his songs, you will feel his comfort and his heart through it. He conveyed what he wants to say through his beautiful and meaningful songs, That’s Okay, I’ll Be There, Draw My Path, and In Another Life.
He said while performing, he really feels that everyone is enjoying listening to his songs, and he gets all that energy from the fans. “Thank you very much. I will continue to be an artist who gives you beautiful songs like this.”
Moreover, PH EXO-Ls’ voice echoed inside the arena when they all sang EXO’s First Snow, Don’t Go, Growl, and Love Me Right– which also D.O. sang as he opened the second part of the show. He felt nostalgic when he heard the EXO songs playing. He said, “Every time I go to a performance and sing EXO’s songs, it really makes me enjoy.” He asked the fans which EXO song they wanted him to sing. As the fans requested, he sang Peter Pan accompanied by DOHper Band. It was so beautiful!
EXO-Ls and Dandanies once again witnessed Kyung Soo’s top-tier performances. He also performed his songs, Mars, Where You Were, Simple Joys, Fit, I’m Gonna Love You, Popcorn, 5 Minutes, Sing Along!, It’s Love, My Dear, I Do, Somebody, and Rose. It was not just a concert but a celebration of his artistry and the love between him and the fans.
“Thank you for coming. Thank you for consistently cheering for me. I hope this day will be such a beautiful memory for all of you.” He also said that the energy of the Philippines is the best and made a promise to come back again.
D.O. thanked PH EXO-Ls and Dandanies for all the fan projects they prepared. He really appreciated it all, the video message and the big message that says, “We can DOH it all with KYUNG SOO,” he responded, “Yes! I’m sure we can do it all. Thank you so much. The video is so great, it looks like a music video.”
D.O. also discovered something to make the fans focus. He sings Popcorn and they chant “Pop”. It was so funny. He is so adorable! He wrapped up the show with his encore song, Sing Along!, waving goodbye to all of us and shouting for the last time, “Philippines, thank you so much!”
Congratulations D.O., for successfully wrapping up your first-ever concert in Manila. We really had a blast and had a Blissful night with you! Thank you for coming back and creating memorable memories with us once again. You are a ball of sunshine to all of us, and we are so thankful for all the positive energy you are giving us. We hope to see you again, we love you so much!
