Tiffany Young is known for her beauty and elegant figure, but most especially, for her powerful vocals and stage presence. And as a fan of hers, I will be sharing with you some facts about Tiffany and her music that I love.

About Tiffany Young

Tiffany’s birth name is Stephanie Hwang, while her Korean name is Hwang Mi Young. The reason Tiffany used her stage name rather than her real name is that it was the name her mother wanted to give her at birth. Tiffany has an older sister named Michelle and an older brother named Leo. Tiffany attended South Pointe Middle School and Diamond Bar High School.

Tiffany moved to South Korea at the age of 15 to audition for Girls’ Generation. She’s fluent in both English and Korean. Tiffany had an English accent when speaking Korean back in her early days.

FUN FACT: Tiffany was known as the “Pink Monster” because she loves pink. Fans recognize her because of her signature eye smile.

Girls’ Generation and Girls’ Generation – TTS career

Tiffany successfully debuted as part of Girls’ Generation in August 2007, with the debut song Into The New World. And that is the birth of South Korea’s Nation’s Girl Group. They named their fans SONE (소원), pronounced as sowon or so one, meaning wish in Korean.

As a member of Girls’ Generation, she was the vocalist and the center of the group. She had an iconic line from their song Tell me your wish (Genie), which is “DJ put it back on.”

Girls’ Generation celebrated their 15th anniversary with a 7th full-length album, Forever 1. The comeback made everyone emotional, not just me, but all the SONEs around the world.

It was the most awaited comeback in the history of K-pop. It made all their fans deeply emotional and nostalgic. Embracing the 15 years of Girls’ Generation in the K-pop music.

Before Tiffany started her solo career, Tiffany debuted as part of Girls’ Generation’s first subunit, Girls’ Generation – TTS, which stands for Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. The group released three EPs: Twinkle, Holler, and the Christmas EP Dear Santa.

I Just Wanna Dance

Tiffany embarks on her solo career in May 2016 with the release of her first EP, I Just Wanna Dance. This song is different from her previous genre when she was in the group. It was more of a Western-style music, and the setting of the music video shooting location was at Sun Valley, Los Angeles.

Heartbreak Hotel

This song was released on June 9, 2016. It was a sad song about meeting the right one, and you will end up knowing you get cheated in the end. The song not only features Tiffany’s beautiful voice, but we can also hear the powerful rap verse of Simon Dominic.

 Lips on Lips

Lips on Lips shows her elegant side, matching her angelic voice in the music video. This is one of Tiffany’s English songs that was released on February 23, 2019.

Run For Your Life

This song is different from Tiffany’s previously released music. It shows her boldness and her charisma. The song is upbeat, and she dances in vogue. She really shows her potential as an artist.

Remember Me

Of course, who can’t forget Tiffany’s own cover of Remember Me from the Disney movie Coco? The fans were totally shocked when she released her version of the song.
