Kyuhyun serenades Filipino KYUpiters and ELFs at his 10th anniversary concert ‘COLORS’

It was a dream come true for Filipino KYUpiters and ELFs as Super Junior’s Kyuhyun finally held his 10th anniversary Asia tour ‘COLORS’ in Manila last April 5 at the New Frontier Theater.

The Ballad Prince opened his anniversary concert with his song “Restart,” making the entire venue excited from the very first song. It was then followed by “Together,” “Journey,” and “Last Poem,” in which the fans proudly sang along with Kyuhyun.

Kyuhyun is also well-known as an OST singer in dramas and movies. His fans had a chance to hear him sing 2 of his OSTs, “Confession Is Not Flashy” from Hospital Playlist and “Still Our Love Continue” from My Love. “Still Our Love Continue” is a special one since the audience sang Jung Eunji’s part for her!

The concert went on with more ballads, and Kyuhyun started singing “A Million Pieces,” wherein he was joined by his guest singer, Moira. Moira sang Kyuhyun’s song in Korean. Kyuhyun praised Moira’s Korean skills, and he mentioned how he listened to her songs.

The two singers proceeded to sing a duet of Moira’s song “Paubaya.” The fans were screaming and cheering for Kyuhyun as he started singing in Tagalog. His pronunciation is commendable as if he is the original singer of the song. He even delivered the “hugot lines” so well and left everyone heartbroken!

Kyuhyun shared that he is a musical actor and sang a bit of one of his musical numbers from the musical The Man Who Laughs. He added that his recent album “COLORS” includes a song that has a musical vibe. Kyuhyun started singing “Nights Without You” with so much emotion and power.

When Kyuhyun came back to the stage singing “Time With You,” he went down to greet the audience. He made sure he greeted everyone, waved at them while singing. He even went to the second floor of the venue and greeted the fans there as well.

Kyuhyun greeting his fans while singing is one of my favorite moments at his concert because I can truly feel his happiness and excitement of singing for his Filipino fans. He took the time to greet each fan and made sure he looked at them in the eye. His fan service is over the top! He continued singing “Flying, deep in the night” while making his way through the crowd.

After doing his fan service, Kyuhyun came back to the stage to sing “Universe” while holding a camera. It was evident that Kyuhyun and his fans were having the time of their lives as they sang together, waving their hands and lightsticks in the air.

For the next part of the concert, Kyuhyun showed his idol skills as he danced and sang his song “Bring It On.” He also did a medley of Super Junior’s songs “U,” “Sorry, Sorry,” “Devil,” and “Super Clap.”

Kyuhyun went on to sing his songs “Horizon,” “Unending Days,” “The Story Behind,” and “Dreaming” until the last part of the main event.

After leaving the stage, KYUpiters and ELFs sang their heart out with Kyuhyun’s debut single “At Gwanghwamun” while waiting for him to come back to the stage.

To end the night, Kyuhyun did his encore and sang “At Gwanghwamun,” “One Spring Day,” and “Wishes.”

Kyuhyun did his closing ment and thanked his fans for being a part of the last night of his anniversary tour. The ‘COLORS’ in Manila is the last country he’ll visit, so it’s extra special for him.

He also made sure that the audience would applaud his band, so he introduced them one by one.

He promised to come back, and hopefully with Super Junior, as they celebrate their 20th year as a group.

‘COLORS’ in Manila is not just a concert; it’s a demonstration of Kyuhyun’s hard work as a singer. It’s a musical experience you can never have in other places. It’s an emotional show that will make you feel happy and sad at the same time. ‘COLORS’ in Manila is the perfect way to experience the songs of one of the best singers in the whole world.

Thank you for singing for us, Kyuhyun! We had an amazing time listening and singing to your songs. We hope to see you again here in the Philippines!
