KAI‘s unparalleled passion for dance truly sets him apart from the vast talents of the K-Pop industry. He has the kind of precision that most dancers take years to master in the art of hip-hop. From his powerful stage presence to his ability to blend different dance styles, he is truly a dance prodigy!
KAI has consistently defied expectations as EXO’s center, main dancer, and lead rapper. He has also proven his ability to seamlessly adapt to various group dynamics and musical styles as a part of “EXO-K”, “Younique Unit”, and “SM the Performance,” all in 2012, and later on, becoming part of a performance-based group “SuperM” in 2019.
KAI has also ventured into acting, starring in projects like “Choco Bank”, “7 First Kisses”, “Andante”, and “Spring Has Come.” He has also become a prominent figure in the fashion industry; he was the first Gucci Eyewear Men Global Ambassador in South Korea in 2019 and the first-ever male muse of the cosmetics brand Bobbi Brown in 2020.
In 2020, he made his long-awaited debut as a soloist with his self-titled EP “Kai” and its lead single “Mmmh”. The album earned a Platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association, and KAI won “Best Male Artist” and “People’s Choice Awards.” His second EP, “Peaches”, debuted at #3 and earned him another Platinum certification. Most recently, his third EP, “Rover,” debuted at #1 on the Circle Album Chart, his first chart-topping solo release. These successes highlight his relentless commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
He has also recently released “Adult Swim.”
