Known for their impressive performances, ASTRO has become a beloved boy group for fans across generations. Throughout their long-standing career, ASTRO has managed to amaze audiences with their diverse discography, beautiful vocals, and strong dance skills.

As ASTRO celebrates their 9th anniversary this year, let us look back on 9 special moments that are surely unforgettable for every AROHA.

1. Debut

ASTRO made their debut with the EP “Spring Up” on February 23, 2016. They became the first male singers to debut from Fantagio, their entertainment company.

2. Web drama

Prior to their debut, the members of ASTRO appeared in a web drama entitled “To Be Continued” with Kim Sae Ron in July 2015. It is a teen fantasy series that follows the story of a boy group who suddenly goes back in time just one day before their debut stage.

3. First reality show

Nearly ahead of their official debut, ASTRO had their first reality show entitled “Astro OK! Ready” in January 2016. The series contained various interviews, fun games, and behind-the-scenes footage of ASTRO preparing for their first promotions. It’s a good introduction to the members since it shows some of their embarrassing as well as touching moments together!

4. First fan song

For their 1st anniversary, ASTRO released their first fan song entitled “YOU&ME (Thanks AROHA)” as part of their EP “Winter Dream” in February 2017.

Through the years, ASTRO continued to release more fan songs like You’re My World, One & Only, and We Still (Be With U), including the entire Rise Up album, to show their love and appreciation for AROHAs.

5. First concert tour

After several mini-concerts and showcases domestically and internationally, ASTRO held their first concert tour entitled “1st ASTROAD” in July 2017 starting in Seoul. It marked the start of their “ASTROAD” tour series, where they got to hold concerts in different countries over the years.

6. First major award

ASTRO received their first-ever major award during their debut year, having won the “K-Pop Vocalist Award” at the Korean Culture Entertainment Awards in 2016. A truly special achievement made possible by ASTRO and AROHAs!

7. First full-length album

Almost 3 years after their debut, ASTRO released their first studio album “All Light” on January 16, 2019. The album debuted at the top of the Gaon Album Chart and reached the top 10 of the US Billboard World Albums chart. It contained 10 tracks, with “All Night” being the title track.

8. First music show win

Thanks to the immense love that met “All Night” upon its release, ASTRO received their first music show win on “The Show” in 2019. It was an emotional point for the members, and they made sure to express their gratefulness for everyone who supported them.

9. Japanese debut

ASTRO made their debut in Japan with the album “Venus,” released on April 3, 2019. The album contains six tracks, with “Hanasake Mirai” as the title track.

In light of their 9th anniversary, ASTRO released a special digital single “Twilight,” containing a hopeful message for the fans.
