PH EXO-Ls had “The Best Day” with Baekhyun at his BENCH fan meet in Manila!
What a great way to celebrate love month with our precious Baekhyun!
Following Baekhyun’s “Lonsdaleite” concert last year, PH EXO-Ls had the chance to reunite with their beloved genius idol at his “The Best Day” BENCH fan meet held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last February 2.
The venue was filled with ecstatic fans and a beautiful silver ocean, it was indeed “The Best Day” with Baekhyun!
Opening Performance
PH EXO-Ls warmly welcomed Baekhyun with loud cheers as he serenaded the fans with his song, Good Morning. “Mabuhay Philippines! I’m Baekhyun,” he greeted everyone with his sweetest smile. He said he is happy that he is in the Philippines to have the best day with everyone.
“B” is for Baekhyun, Bench, and Best, so Baekhyun hopes that everyone enjoys the night and has the best day at this event. To express their love for Baekhyun, EXO-Ls shouted I Love You in three different languages – English, Filipino, and Korean. He responded “Mahal Kita” and “Saranghae”. Kilig!
When asked about the foods he tried when he first landed here, Baekhyun shared that he tried a lot of delicious food at Mr. Ben Chan’s house when they went there for dinner and ate Jollibee before the event started. He said he wanted to try Bulalo next time.
On the other hand, he mentioned that he would like to visit Cebu, Bohol, and Boracay because according to him, the beaches in the Philippines are so beautiful.
We had the chance to get to know more about him, about his love for nature, his fashion preference, how he enjoyed shooting for Pineapple Slice MV, and his food preference. He said that he can eat a lot of food but not cucumber because he doesn’t like the smell of it. His scent preference is the woody scent, his adorable 12-year-old dog, Mongryong, and his skills in Hapkido.
About being Global BENCH Setter
It was last year when BENCH announced that Baekhyun was their newest Global BENCH Setter. Baekhyun said that he is honored to be in this position, “I know that BENCH is also the branch that is loved by a lot of Filipinos, and through being BENCH Ambassador, I was able to meet EXO-Ls in the Philippines.” He said he felt that he was a very big person in the Philippines because of his big billboards in Guadalupe, so he was very happy.
Baekhyun also shared about his BENCH fashion and mentioned that he prefers the basic style instead of the fancy one, and when he is looking at clothes, he looks into a good fit, texture, and fabric, and BENCH’s clothes have the quality of it all. “That’s the part that I really love about BENCH clothing, they give importance to the basics of clothing.”
The Best Moments
Baekhyun also played games and the fans also showed Baekhyun their dance moves and danced along to his dance videos, of course! We got to see his breathtaking dance moves as well when he danced Kiss of Life’s Igloo, EXO’s History, and his song, Candy. He is a great dancer and we were mesmerized by it.
PH EXO-Ls also prepared a video message for Baekhyun and he was touched by it, “The time has passed really quickly and for a long time we’ve been together. The more time passes we realize that we can feel that we should be together and know the importance of each other as time passes by. You are my pride, and I want to be your pride as well for a long period, so I hope we can spend more time together. Saranghaeyo.” How sweet!
One of the highlights of the event was when Baekhyun created an artwork on a white t-shirt and gave it to Mr. Ben Chan, the founder of the company, and took a photo together with it. To wrap up the show, Baekhyun performed Rendezvous. For his encore stage, he sang Pineapple Slice and Garden in the Air.
For his parting message, Baekhyun expressed his gratitude towards BENCH for making this event possible to meet EXO-Ls comfortably and also thanked fans who made time to come to the event. He also revealed that he will be having his concert this year, so we should look forward to it!
Meeting our precious genius idol, Baekhyun, is a dream come true! So we are so thankful to BENCH for fulfilling our dream. He is such a multifaceted artist, and we are so captivated by his charm during the fan meet. We love you Baekhyun and we hope to see you again next time!
