Get closer with TWICE!
On October 20, 2015, TWICE debuted with their extended play (EP), “The Story Begins”. They were formed under the television program “Sixteen”. In 2017, they were officially given the title of “Nation’s Girl Group” in South Korea.
Let us get to know the girls more!
Jihyo
Park Jihyo was born on February 1, 1997. Voted as the leader of the group, and she is also the main vocalist. On August 18, 2023, she debuted with her EP, “ZONE”. She has participated in songwriting for the group multiple times, and also for most of the songs in her EP.
She is known to be a “powerhouse vocalist”. Among TWICE members, Jihyo trained the longest.
Nayeon
Im Nayeon was born on September 22, 1995. She is the lead vocalist and dancer, and also the center of the group. On June 24, 2022, she debuted with her self-titled EP, “Im Nayeon”. She is set to release her second EP on June 14, 2024.
Even during her trainee years, Nayeon has modeled for various brands. Currently, she is the Asia ambassador for Tommy Jeans. She is also the muse of Austrian jewelry brand Swarovski.
Jeongyeon
Yoo Jeongyeon was born on November 1, 1996. She is the lead vocalist in the group. In November 2023, she released a cover of “O Christmas Tree” for Apple Music’s playlist. Recently, she modeled for GQ Sports.
She has co-hosted for Inkigayo during 2016-2017. She also really likes cleaning and is ambidextrous.
Momo
Hirai Momo was born on November 9, 1996. She is a main dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper. She is a part of the sub-unit MiSaMo, which debuted on July 26, 2023, with their EP, “Masterpiece”.
Momo is an ambassador for Italian fashion brand, Miu Miu. She is also the brand ambassador for Japanese sports brand, Onitsuka Tiger. She is considered as TWICE’s best dancer, earning her the nickname of “Dance Machine”.
Sana
Minatozaki Sana was born on December 29, 1996. She is a sub-vocalist in the group. She is also a part of the sub-unit MiSaMo. Currently, she is hosting “Sana’s Fridge Interview“.
Outside of the group’s activities, Sana has promoted various brands and products. She is an ambassador for multinational jeweler Graff, and was also named as Prada’s brand ambassador.
Mina
Mina Sharon Myoi, or Myoi Mina, was born on March 24, 1997. She is a main dancer, and a sub-vocalist. She is the third member of the sub-unit MiSaMo. Along with Momo, she is recognized as one of TWICE’s strongest dancers.
She is the global ambassador for SK-II, Japan’s leading cosmetic brand. She was born in Texas, but grew up in Japan.
Dahyun
Kim Dahyun was born on May 28, 1998. She is a lead rapper and a sub-vocalist. She has also participated in songwriting multiple times, such as “Trick It”, “Crazy Stupid Love”, and more.
Dahyun was named global ambassador for American fashion brand Michael Kors. She also models for skincare brand, A’pieu. She was casted for the Korean remake of “You Are the Apple of My Eye”.
Chaeyoung
Son Chaeyoung was born on April 23, 1999. She is a main rapper and a sub-vocalist. She has taken part in songwriting multiple times and was also the first member to participate in composing for their group songs. Some of the songs she participated in were “The Feels”, “Basics”, and she even made a remix for “Pop Star”.
She is the brand ambassador for the Italian fashion house, Etro. She is also the brand muse for Japanese cosmetics brand, CipiCipi.
Tzuyu
Chou Tzuyu was born on June 14, 1999. She is a lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and a visual. She has done music covers for Melody Project series, such as Taylor Swift’s “ME!”, and Ava Max’s “Christmas Without You”.
Currently, she is the muse of one of Japan’s most popular cosmetic brands, Visée. She is also the muse of the South Korean clothing brand, Zooc.
