AO EXCLUSIVE: Ahn Bo Hyun shares his Memorable Role and his plans on having a Vacation here in the Philippines!

Last May 24th, 2024, Ahn Bo Hyun met with the people from the press a day before his first fan meeting here in the Philippines.

As he greeted the people from the press, the first thing that everyone noticed was how tall he was. He was so tall that to be able to take a photo of him he stood in front of the stage.

The press conference began as Ahn Bo Hyun took his seat on the stage and shared how he was so curious about the Philippines. Unfortunately, he was only able to do some sightseeing in his car, but he did mention how he loved going to the beach, with summer as his preferred season, and that the hot weather that he encountered in the Philippines upon his arrival didn’t seem to bother him.

The charismatic actor was known for his diversity when it came to the roles he portrayed to the type of genre he had chosen. It seemed to apply as well to his food preference. He mentioned how he found similarities between Korean food and Filipino food when he tasted some for his breakfast and found it delicious. 

Being born in Busan, Ahn Bo Hyun recommends these three places to visit. Yeongdo, Songdo, and Gwangalli Beach as these places show amazing sunsets and sunrises. But if he was given the opportunity to visit different countries with his friends he would gladly do it to create new memories with his friends. 

Ahn Bo Hyun also mentioned how he was supposed to spend some time with his friends in Boracay but due to his schedule, he had to cancel his flight. But since then, his friends wouldn’t stop raving about the Philippine waves. He hoped that he could come back here for a vacation and visit Cebu, Boracay, and Palawan.

At the press conference, he told the press that he would like to be part of a historical drama and a romance comedy. As for a role he would like to try a very evil character in the future. 

When we asked him what was the most memorable character for him, he said, 

“Jin I-soo from FLEX x COP. Because I was loved with this role by a lot of fans from around the world and there were also people doing my signature post.”

He also mentioned that this was the same character he would choose if he could live it in real life.

After knowing that one of his drama series was airing in the Philippines, Ahn Bo Hyun expressed his gratitude. He said that while filming Yumi’s Cell he put a lot of effort into it but he had no idea that he would have this kind of result where people from other countries would watch it. 

Being known for his men in uniform characters, Ahn Bo Hyun shared that he found some similarities between his character Do Bae Man in Military Prosecutor Doberman and him because of how natural his character is and how his character thinks that he’s just enough.

He also mentioned that to be able to fit these roles he had a strict workout routine and diet that he followed just to ensure that his uniforms fit well. He even shared with the press that if he did not stick to his routine, his weight would be around 100 kg.

Remembering his role in his hit series, See You in My 19th Life, he was asked what advice he could give himself if he could go back 10 years in the past and go forward 10 years in the future. Ahn Bo Hyun said that going back to the past is harder than going to the future because you can’t change anything in the past. But if he was given a chance to go back he wanted to tell himself to be a bit more lenient with himself and to live a life that suited his age, because he wasn’t given the chance to experience puberty. As for his future self, he would tell him that he was doing a great job to always be thankful and to never forget his initial mindset. 

Ahn Bo Hyun was able to reach where he was now because of all the small steps that he took before and never forgetting his initial mindset, which by the way, was engraved on his necklace. When asked what his initial mindset was he said,

“Never Give Up.”

He added that if you never give up there will always be opportunities to come. And as long as he does not forget his initial mindset he will always become a better version of himself.

Ahn Bo Hyun celebrates his 10 years as an actor and shares that the small steps and processes made him continue to move forward and made him the person he is right now. Someone who has a lot of fans for which he was grateful.
