XG unveils new all-rap single “WOKE UP”
XG is back with their 5th single and 1st all-rap song “WOKE UP”! This comeback expresses their message of redefining girl group hip-hop with their own style.
“WOKE UP” is a track consisting entirely of rap, and uses 808 bass and string instrument sounds authentic to East Asia. It is a song that shows each member’s unique hip-hop identity and XG’s musical color, conveying a deep meaning of ‘breaking stereotypes’.
XG’s concept photos have heightened expectations for their comeback, as they used a wolf-like styling that adds to their impactful visuals.
Meanwhile, XG is set to embark on their 1st World Tour “The first HOWL” starting on May 18 in Osaka, and will continue to different cities in Asia. They will also be coming to the Philippines for their Manila stop on August 2 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
