Satisfy your hunger for adventure with “Delicious in Dungeon”
“Delicious in Dungeon” follows a party of hungry adventurers who experience a mishap while facing the Red Dragon. After some reflection, Laios convinces the group to cook monsters as a way to stay full. The party returns to the dungeon where they encounter Senshi, a dwarf experienced with the art of cooking monsters.
While the premise of the story is a bit unusual, it is quite entertaining. If you still need more convincing, here are four spoiler-free reasons to give it a chance!
Adorable party dynamics and interactions
One of the main characters includes Laois Touden, the older brother of the captured Falin. He is a tall-man race and is the leader of the group. Marcille Donato is an elven mage and is in charge of anything magic-related. Chilchuck Tims is a half-foot rogue and handles all the traps and locks in the dungeon. The final member is Senshi, a dwarf warrior who is teaching the group various ways to cook monsters.

The whole group has a lot of funny interactions and has interesting banters. They are a family, with genuine concern and trust in each other. Their relationship and conversations are one of the best things about the show!

Detailed cooking display
It shows the cooking preparation and process and it almost makes you feel like you are watching an actual cooking show.

It was really amusing to see Senshi narrating the ingredients and steps in the cooking process. While the ingredients may be different, the dishes are inspired by real-life dishes.

Massive monster collection
If you are someone who plays role-playing games (RPG), you are going to appreciate the worldbuilding and environment. There are a lot of monster types that make an appearance in the series.

The ecosystem and how each creature interacts are carefully thought out. It is enjoyable for fantasy and RPG fans!

The story slowly develops into something more
The story starts off with enjoyable cooking show antics, eventually building up into something serious in later episodes. But do not worry, the cooking part of the show is still present and there is no genre shift!

The show features the voice performances of Kentaro Kumagai as Laios Touden, Sayaka Senbongi as Marcille Donato, Asuna Tomari as Chilchuck Tims, and Hiroshi Naka as Senshi.
“Delicious in Dungeon” started airing on January 4, 2024. It is still ongoing and there are currently 17 episodes. If you want to check it out, it is available on Netflix! #DeliciousInDungeon
