Gehlee Dangca wins ‘Universe Ticket,’ secures spot in new global K-pop group UNIS!
Another win for the Filipino K-pop fans community as Gehlee Dangca victoriously secured the fourth spot for the highly anticipated debut of the global girl group, “UNIS”, formed through a South Korean survival show, “Universe Ticket.”
The 16-year-old Filipino shone the brightest and garnered 2.4 million votes on the show, sheer proof of her popularity and love from fans.
Joining her in a remarkable winning moment is fellow Filipino talent, Elisia Parmisano under F&F Entertainment.
In addition, the 22-year-old half-Filipina Jin Hyeonju was announced as part of the lineup too. Hyeonju is also a member of the K-pop girl group Cignature under the stage name Belle.
The show, which aired on November 18, 2023, has captivated audiences worldwide, providing a platform for 82 aspiring idols to fight for stardom.
As the K-pop scene continues to progress, this UNIS debut promises to be a momentous occasion, with Gehlee Dangca and Elisia Parmisano poised to contribute their unique flair to the scene.
Through the help of Universal Records Philippines and StarHorizon TV Productions, Gehlee was able to pursue her dream of becoming a K-pop idol.
