IU donates 100 million won for Children’s Day

South Korea will be celebrating the Children’s Day today, May 5th!

In honor of the said event, singer-actress IU, has donated 100 Million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. IU has been consistently donating to the said foundation since 2015.

Moreover, her donation will be used to assist low income families by covering the tuition fees of the children. IU was included in Forbes list for Asia’s 2019 Heroes Of Philanthropy: Catalysts For Change. and she was the youngest person to be listed there.

IU, whose real name is Lee Ji Eun, is known for her acting skills and captivating voice. Her projects in the big screen includes Moonlovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo, My Mister, and Hotel de Luna to name a few.

Aside from that, IU also made a name for herself in the music scene. Her current project will be her digital single feat. Suga of BTS that will be released on May 6, 2020 6PM KST.
