Kim Woo Bin donated the entire amount for his narration in MBC’s documentary “Humanimal” to a childhood cancer charity, his agency A.M. Entertainment said.
The actor said, “I decided to donate after hearing that children with childhood cancer, whose immune system has weakened due to anti-cancer treatment, are having trouble finding masks due to COVID-19”.
“Starting with 995 kits containing anti-bacterial products, we are doing our best to help children with cancer who are vulnerable to infection,” said Seo Sun Won, secretary-general of the charity.
The charity plans to spend the funds on purchasing masks and providing emergency support to cancer patients across the country.
He also added, “We are grateful to Kim Woo n for helping us because of the rising cost of masks under this outbreak.”
Meanwhile, the same charity is the first place where Kim Woo Bin’s fans made donations in his name.
On July 16, 2017, for his 29th birthday, his fans raised funds to provide medical expenses for cancer patients.
