Let’s RUN AWAY with TXT to 9 and Three Quarters

On October 21, 2019, Tomorrow x Together or better known as TXT releases their new album The Dream Chapter: Magic with their title track 9 and three quarters (Run Away).

The video has that BigHit touch of mystery that fans love. What does it really mean? Aside from the lyrics that say a lot, they always leave this thought that there is something more than what meets the eye. It will make you focus on the scenes and watch it a number of times.

The BGM used for this song is amazing. There is a part of the song that felt like I have heard it before. The BGM used for these lyrics (Sorry I only have the English translation) really sounded familiar and it’s one of the parts of the song that I Love :

When we go past this tunnel,
when we open our eyes
Our dreams become reality.”

I was also amazed at how they were able to incorporate the magic spell lines that fairy godmothers used in the famous fairy tales that we all know.

The MV reminds me of Harry Potter, Alice and Wonderland and Peter Pan for some obvious reasons. For Harry Potter it would be 9 and Three Quarters. As we know the Train station where Harry needed to go into to be able to go to Hogwarts. The door on the swimming pool floor kinda reminds me of the hole that Alice went through to reach wonderland. The trees that looks like they are walking through the forest is like Peter Pan’s territory.

Overall, I love everything about it. It was an unexpected concept for me. A soft melody with a touch of meaningful lyrics. Run Away doesn’t mean leaving every thing that’s hard. It meant looking for someone who will be there and be with you during the hard times. To escape reality for a while to recharge yourself and have the strength to face reality because you know that you can do everything when you’re not alone. I love the symbolic wound that Yeonjun had in reality and how it was not there at the part where they watched a door burns, which showed that they are not in the real world.

The background where they were dancing also show an upside down city behind them. I am not yet sure if they are like their sunbaes (BTS) that have a story to tell that are connected with each comeback, which is a signature touch of their company BigHit Entertainment. But definitely I am looking forward for more, honestly I am craving for more.

I haven’t heard the rest of the songs in the album because this song got me under it’s spell that I have it on repeat. And the more I hear it, the more I want to know more about it. The meaning that it holds.

But here are their Spotify and Apple Music Links:

The visuals of Soobin, Beomgyu, Yeonjun, Taehyun and Huening Kai are no joke. How fast has these boys grown?
