KCC Philippines to host its first “K-Street Festival” in BGC

Korean culture enthusiasts in the Philippines will surely have an exciting weekend as the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) is hosting its very first “K Street Festival” from May 31 to June 1 at C1 Park, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City. The event will start from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

The “K Street Festival” is a showcase of Korea’s popular activities and trends that everyone will enjoy. The two-day free festival will be divided into seven stations namely: K-Movie, K-Food, K-Pop, K-Tour, K-Fun, K-Beauty and K-Art. It will feature fun activities, food stalls, cooking demonstrations, hanbok wearing and Korean art experience zones, informational stations about Korea tourism, K-pop and exhibitor stations that showcase Korean traditional art and products.

There will also be guest appearances of Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team from Korea, SB19 and the 2018 Pinoy K-pop Star winners K-IDLE, Kaiju-x, Mix’in, John Paul Manuel, Sandra dela Cruz and Venisse Nicole Siy.

The festival seeks to provide the community with the best activities to learn the traits and culture of Korea. Guests who will visit all seven stations will have a chance to win raffle prizes to be drawn each day.

According to their press release, KCC hopes for a continuous robust relationship between Korea and the Philippines. The K Street Festival aims to become an instrumental platform in which the Filipinos can come together in fun and entertainment. This will also a part of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Korea bilateral relations.

This event is a collaborative initiative of KCC, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, United Korean Community Association, and Bonifacio High Street and is part of the Korean Culture Day event of the Korean Culture and Information Service of Korea.
