South Korean actress Han Hyo-joo is confirmed to join the cast of the spin-off drama of “The Bourne” series entitled “Treadstone.”
“Treadstone” revolves around the present-day actions of a CIA-black ops program known as ‘Operation Treadstone’ where they train their recruits to nearly become a superhuman assassins.
Han will play the role of So-yoon, a wife and mother who must make difficult choices that compromise her quiet family life in North Korea after she starts to learn about her own secret past.
Han Hyo-joo is recognized for her acting ability by playing several roles in the Korean series such as “Brilliant Legacy “Dong Yi” “Spring Waltz” and “W: Two Worlds”. She also gained popularity for her notable roles in the korean movies like “The Beauty Inside” and “Cold Eyes” for which she won a Best Actress award at the 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Treadstone is scheduled to film this year and will be broadcasted on USA Network under NBC Universal. The series is expected to be directed by Ramin Bahrana and written by Tim Kring.
