LOOK: Mattel and Big Hit Entertainment Are Collaborating To Release #BTSDollsOfficial

ARMYs! It’s confirmed! Mattel, a U.S. toy company said on January 7 that they will be releasing a fashion doll featuring the global boy band BTS at a toy and game fair in Hong Kong.

Mattel plans to sign a multi-category license agreement with BTS’ agency Big Hit Entertainment and produce BTS dolls, small figures, toy sets, games and role-playing items. The collection is scheduled to be released this summer and will be the first toy line to feature seven members of the BTS: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The line will be based on costumes from BTS’s “Idol” music video.

“It is a phenomenon of popular culture that transcends age, culture and language, and through this partnership, Mattel will offer a new way to communicate with BTS to millions of people around the world. It is our core strategy to form partnerships with the world’s most influential people, and we will create products that celebrates BTS based on Mattel’s creative expertise.” said Sejal Shah Miller, Mattel’s vice president and global brand general manager.
