Son Seung Won, popularly known for his roles in ‘Laughter in Waikiki’ and ‘Age Of Youth’, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving without a license.
The Seoul Central District Court issued a warrant on the actor Son Seung Won. This was followed by an interrogation and investigation for the necessity and validity of the warrant. The judge who released the warrant said that the crime was called and the reason and necessity of the arrest were recognized.
At the time of the accident, the actor was caught drunk driving. As claimed by the police, Son Seung Won was driving his father’s car while drunk in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 4:20 in the morning last December 26, 2018 when he crashed his car into another vehicle.
Without any action, Son Seung-won escaped. He was caught by the taxi drivers and residents after they chased after him.
Blood alcohol levels at the time of the accident were 0.206%, enough level for license revocation. However, his license is already canceled. The actor was already issued a total of three driving under the influence violations in September last year.
Son Seungwon was named the first entertainer to be arrested for the so-called ‘Yoon Chang-ho Law’ (dangerous driving injuries under the specific crime punishment law).
