Agent Kim Reactivated successfully ended on a high note!
On July 26, SBS’s production company, Agent Kim Reactivated, revealed that the drama is positively in talks for its second season. They expressed their gratitude towards fans who showed their love and support for the drama. They added, “Since Season 1 has just concluded, the detailed schedule is still undecided. We ask for your understanding and will share it as soon as it is confirmed.”
Hong Sung Chang, CEO of Studio S and producer of the drama, also thanked the viewers for their love, which helped it achieve great results. He also thanked the whole cast, So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho, for their exceptional performances in the series and added, “We will continue to repay you with high-quality, well-made content.”
Agent Kim Reactivated tells the story of Manager Kim, who works in a small savings bank and seems to have an ordinary life as a single parent taking care of his daughter. Little did his daughter know that his father is a former secret agent who tries everything to hide his true identity, but when his daughter goes missing, his true identity is revealed, and he will risk everything to save her.
According to Nielsen Korea on July 26, the finale of the drama, which aired on the 25th, achieved a nationwide rating of 23.0%. It ranked first across all channels in its time slot and also set a new record for the highest viewership for a miniseries aired in 2026.
