ZOONIZINI rolled their way into Filipino AROHAs’ hearts during their first fanparty in Manila

ASTRO’s MJ and Jinjin has finally come back to the Philippines, as ZOONIZINI for their first fanparty in Manila, “Roll the Dice,” held at the UP Theater last October 11, 2025. They previously went to the country for the 200th episode of “Show Champion” in 2016.

Starting off with the song “New world,” the duo was welcomed with loud cheers that conveyed how excited Filipino AROHAs were to see them again. Upon greeting, the two remembered how the last time they went to the Philippines was 9 years ago.

“As much as you guys have waited, the welcome is really loud and we’re really happy right now,” Jinjin said.

The fans then had a lively time when ZOONIZINI were taught Filipino expressions, like “Lagi namin kayong nami-miss,” and “Mahal namin kayo,” which Jinjin already knew the meaning of. The segment induced laughs and kilig as the two pronounced the phrases almost perfectly.

For the first game, ZOONIZINI participated in a “Rollaround Relay,” where MJ and Jinjin had the chance to experience certain Filipino games like jackstone, luksong baka, tumbang preso, and sipa in a timed relay. As the two competed against each other, MJ ended up being the winner while Jinjin faced the punishment of drinking calamansi juice and putting a smile on his face.

Switching up the atmosphere, ZOONIZINI proceeded to perform their song “Favorite Memory,” serenading fans with their sweet vocals. Afterwards, the fans cheered “Pogi! Pogi! Pogi!” to which MJ replied with “Maganda,” gesturing to the audience.

The next game, “Roll the Lyrics,” had ZOONIZINI guessing the ASTRO song based on its lyrics translated into Filipino. Thanks to this segment, fans had the opportunity to see MJ and Jinjin dance to ASTRO’s classics like “Crazy Sexy Cool,” “Breathless,” “Cat’s Eye,” “Like Stars,” and “Confession.” This really had the Manila crowd wishing for an ASTRO concert soon!

ZOONIZINI then performed their dance tracks “Some Things Never Change” and “Utopia,” making the energy higher than ever. As fans surprised the duo with a hand confetti explosion, MJ couldn’t get enough of the Manila crowd’s chants and requested an encore, asking them to say “We’re gonna dance! Dance! Dance!” while he sings the chorus part.

Another set of wild cheers ensued when Jinjin revealed his abs briefly and MJ showed off his biceps, granting the fans’ wishes.

Having felt that their return to the country took so long, the two apologized and shared their sincere thoughts. “If there’s any given opportunity, we’ll try our best to come back for our Filipino AROHAs,” MJ said. “I’ll promise,” Jinjin added.

ZOONIZINI then performed their uplifting song “Starlight Voyage,” giving fans a moment to appreciate their pleasant vocals again.

Meanwhile, AROHAs prepared a video project for the duo, with cakes and heart-shaped hand banners saying, “Even if the game RESTARTs, Aroha’s love for ZOONIZINI will NEVER CHANGE.” MJ and Jinjin were evidently touched by how the fans prepared so much for them.

“I was able to realize that our Filipino AROHAs were waiting for us for such a long time. And I want to say again that we’re really sorry for coming so late. With this opportunity today, I’ll make sure that I’ll come here more often,” MJ said.

“Please cheer for our ASTRO members always. Thank you so much for waiting for us for 9 years. We were able to visit here to the Philippines because of our AROHAs who have been waiting for us. I know how hard that is. That’s why MJ and I are very touched right now. We’ll make sure to release a better album and come back here,” Jinjin said.

To conclude the night of fun vibes, high energy, and good music, ZOONIZINI performed their song “Restart” as a goodbye to Filipino AROHAs.

“Since we were able to receive a lot of great energy from you guys, we’ll try our best to grow more and do more projects, so I can visit here more often. I’m really thankful for today. Everyone, please stay healthy, and Mahal Kita!” MJ said.
