“Once Upon Our Lands” opens a new chapter in cultural exchange at the Quezon City Public Library!

With eyes wide and smiles bright, kids listened intently as the stories, “Myth of Dangun” and “Malakas and Maganda,” unfolded. Everyone was learning, laughing, and discovering the heartwarming values embedded in both cultures’ literary traditions.

Participants also explored their creativity through hands-on activities inspired by the tales. Coloring pages were available for children, and others expressed their creativity through designing their very own hanbok keyrings! This interactive sessions helped the participants connect and bring the stories to life.

KCC also officially opened its “Mini KCC Library” (Korean Corner) at the Quezon City Public Library. This corner will house various Korean books—from children’s books, to non-fiction and fiction novels—making Korean stories more accessible and encouraging a deeper literary and cultural exchange.
