In 2019, wave to earth officially debuted with the single “wave,” introducing their music to the world. This moment also marked the addition of a new member, Cha Soonjong, solidifying the band’s lineup and setting the stage for the creative journey that lay ahead.

The following year, wave to earth showcased their versatility with the release of two EPs: ‘Wave 0.01’ and ‘Summer Flows 0.02.’ These releases helped establish their sound while expanding their fanbase. Their music was praised for its ability to seamlessly blend genres, creating a distinctive identity that stood apart from many other bands in the scene.

Just after another year, the group took another significant step in their career by signing with Wavy, a label known for its unique roster and association with Colde, a respected figure in South Korean music. This partnership opened new doors for the band, leading to exciting opportunities, including a live performance with La Poem on Naver Onstage — a pivotal moment that brought their live performance capabilities to a wider audience.

The band release their much-anticipated first studio album, ‘0.1 Flaws and All.’ The album’s success marked a milestone for wave to earth, showcasing their growth as artists and their evolving music. It was a reflection of their journey, with tracks that blended introspective lyrics and experimental sounds, proving their versatility and maturity as a band.

wave to earth’s growing popularity wasn’t confined to South Korea alone. The band was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious rock and music festivals in the world. They graced the stages of renowned South Korean festivals like the Seoul Jazz Festival and the Pentaport Rock Festival, and they also made their mark internationally with a performance at The Other Festival in Indonesia.
