The tranquility of a typical Sunday afternoon was made even better as Waterbomb Manila Day 2 (February 23) goers prepare for an exciting, stacked day. With the sun shining and a gentle breeze in the air, the afternoon was surely alive with vibrant performances from the best Pinoy and Korean talents, waterbomb times, fireworks, and endless splashes of fun.

Afternoon Performances: The Splash Kick-off

Still high on the rave energy of Day 1, Day 2 kicked off with performances from Ppop Group Bilib, who performed amazing renditions of their songs “Tawag” and “Say Whatcha Wanna Say” and their Ppop Soloist sister, Zéla who performed her songs “Karma” and “01/01”, proudly showcasing their homegrown Filipino talents.

Highlight performances started with U-kwon, proudly introducing himself as a member of the 2nd-gen boy band group Block B. Aside from his electrifying performances, the highlight of his set was him throwing his denim jacket into the crowd – whoever got it, what a lucky, lucky fan!

From one hot artist to another, Viviz with members Umji, SinB and Eunha graces the stage with their chic and poised performances. Anyone here who still has “Maniac” playing in their heads? Raise your hands because we do!

The Groove and Vibe: Splashes with the Beats

Of course, a Music Fest wouldn’t be complete without sick beats from the set of DJs present on Day 2. The lineup includes Kenet, 2Spade, Mar Vista, Siena Girls, Aster & Neo, and Insidecore. Each DJ set brought its own colors, adding to the festival’s excitement.

And when we say groove, we say Haha & Skull & Reddy & Sulreggae & Sechan. They lit up the stage with a show-stopping performance, hyping up the crowd to the max – so much that someone even threw their bra on stage! Safe to say, the moment will be unforgettable for all of us. Life is definitely a good party, and having “Dang Diggi Bang” in their setlist was the perfect way to welcome the night and set the vibe for the evening performances.

Rhythmic Drip: Soulful Moves and Sensual Vibe

Gray’s sensual performance was the perfect way to welcome the chilly evening. His charm and soulful voice brought warmth to everyone. He sang “I’m Fine” and let’s be honest, we weren’t fine at all after he showed his good physique—yup! He took that shirt off.

Meanwhile, Oh My Girl captivated the audience with their cute and charismatic charms, performing their hit songs like “Dun, Dun Dance” and “Dolphin”. Their charms are undeniable, leaving hearts struck with excitement. They also shared that if given the chance, they want to have a concert in the Philippines which made their fans more thrilled.

As the night deepens, audiences get served with Kang Daniel’s performance including his song “Electric Shock”. His sweet look, mesmerizing voice, and added spice on top of a sneak peek of his chiseled abs made his presence truly unforgettable.

And that’s not all. Hyolyn took the stage by storm with her fiery performances of “Touch My Body” and “My Boy”. Before performing “Wait”, she shared excitedly that the music video of this song was actually filmed in the Philippines, making the performance even more special for her and her fans who waited all day just to see her.

The Smoke and the Bomb: Finale Time

Down to the final set of performances, Bambam was one of the most anticipated artists of the night. He hyped up the crowd with his song “Sour & Sweet” and GOT7’s “Hard Carry”. But what truly made the night was him serenading Filipino fans with “Raining in Manila” – a very fitting song for the “water bomb” festival. Before leaving the stage and ending his set, he teased the audience with the promise of returning soon with a matching “Shot Puno”, leaving everyone buzzing with anticipation for his next visit.

As everyone was still recovering from Bambam’s crazy set, the night even got crazier, as Sunmi gave us her stunning visuals and mesmerizing performances of her songs “Tail” and “Gashina”. She also gave one of the most unforgettable fan service when she saw someone in the crowd with her photocard. She didn’t hesitate to go down the stage to sign it.

To officially cap off the night, breathtaking fireworks lit up the night sky. And Jessi made her most awaited return to the stage after months of inactivity. She set the stage ablaze with her commanding opening song “What Type of X”. She also performed a smoky performance of “Smoke” and crowd favorites “Zoom” and “Nunu Nana”. Adding to the excitement of her performances, she also engaged with the audience in an on-the-spot “fast talk”, leaving Jessi speechless with all the spicy questions she got. A lucky fan also received the ultimate birthday gift—a warm hug and a special message from Jessi.

Day 1, day 2, or both—Waterbomb Festival was a one-of-a-kind experience, leaving everyone drenched (literally) and filled with happiness and excitement. Fingers crossed that there will be another Waterbomb tour soon!
