Kim Sejeong and Kang Tae Oh in talks to star in upcoming historical romance drama!
New possible K-drama pairing alert!

On October 18, it was revealed that Kang Tae Oh received a casting offer to play the male lead of the upcoming MBC’s historical romance series, The Moon Flows in this River.

The following day, Kim Sejeong‘s agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, announced that the actress received a casting offer to play the female lead opposite Kang Tae Oh in the said series and she is reviewing it affirmatively.
Kim Sejeong debuted in 2016 as one of the members of I.O.I after participating in the reality music survival show, Produce 101 and also a former member of the group, Gugudan. In the same year, she released her first solo single, Flower Way. Last year, she released her first full-length album, Door.
As an actress, Sejeong landed her first lead role as Ra Eun Ho in School 2017. She is remarkable for her roles in the dramas, I Wanna Hear Your Song, The Uncanny Counter, Business Proposal, and Today’s Webtoon. Her upcoming series, Brewing Love premieres on November 4.
On the other hand, Kang Tae Oh debuted as an actor in the 2013 web series, After School: Lucky or Not. he starred in the series, The Tale of Nokdu, Run On, Doom at Your Service, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He has also an upcoming rom-com series, Potato Research Institute, his first project after his military discharge.
The Moon Flows in this River is described as the “historical version of Secret Garden.”
