“Jujutsu Kaisen” is an anime you shouldn’t miss

An anime that just keeps getting better and better the more you watch it.

This is not a horror story trust me on that, it is more about fighting curses that can’t be seen by normal people, to save lives.

The main characters have special abilities, but they are not immortal. The way they cast away evil curses (might as well be spirits) varies on their abilities.

Let me give you a brief insight as to what you are getting yourself into, but be warned that spoilers are included starting from here:

Jujutsu Kaisen is a shonen manga that tells the story of an ordinary high-school student named Yuji Itadori. Itadori exhibits above-average speed and strengths that his track and field professor wants him in his team. Unfortunately due to his sick grandfather, Itadori preferred to be in the school’s Occult Research club because they allowed him to leave at five in the afternoon so that he could visit his grandfather in the hospital.

One day, while he was visiting his grandfather, his grandfather told him his last advice – “You’re strong enough to save others. If you can, try to save them. It’s okay to be confused. Don’t worry about it if you don’t get any gratitude. Anyway, try to save more people.” After giving Itadori this advice, his father passed away.

In the first episode of the anime series, Itadori met with one of the Jujutsu sorcerers name Megumi Fushiguro. Fushiguro was given the task to retrieve a “Special Grade” cursed object, which was the finger of Sukuna, King of Curses. The said object was initially found by Itadori and his seniors from the Occult Research Club. Fushiguro asked for Itadori to hand over the said object, unfortunately, one of his seniors had it.

The first episode also showed a clear view of how the dying words of Itadori’s grandfather had affected him. He then helps Fushiguro fight curses as they save his seniors from dying. Unfortunately, they were outmatched by the strength of one of the curses that fought them. Cornered, Itadori decided to swallow the cursed finger of Sukuna hoping that it would give him the power he needed to save the people around him.
