“School 2020” responds to reports of not airing the drama on KBS

Due to different issues and speculations, the people behind the upcoming KBS drama School 2020 have spoken up. Recently, it is reported that KBS will no longer air the drama because of the casting controversy.

A source from School 2020 clarified on April 13th, “There are no decisions yet. We are discussing the matter from various angles.”

The controversy fired up when Ahn Seo Hyun was in discussion for the female lead role but got off the role due to the conflicts between her father and the production company.

However, the female lead role is now offered to Kim Sae Ron and still in the discussion for the role. WJSN’s Eunseo has also received a proposal in a different leading role and currently in a positive review. The only confirmed cast is Kim Yo Han who will play the male lead.

School 2020 is the eighth installment of KBS’s popular School drama series that has started in 1999. This drama tells the story of high school students as they slowly welcome the society and reality of life.

School 2020 was originally scheduled to air on August.
