#NOONARECOMMENDS: Read on why you need a weekly dose of Dr. Romantic Season 2
While I am not the type to watch on-going k-dramas, my curiosity about the new season of Dr. Romantic made me decide to check its first episode. I haven’t seen the first installment of this series but with everyone gushing about the teaser and the promo stills, it’s hard not to take a look at it. With currently 6 episodes running, let me give you a run down on why it deserves a spot on your weekly k-drama watch list.
The new leads are blessing us with great on-screen chemistry. Dr. Cha Eun Jae (Lee Sung Kyung) and Dr. Seo Woo Jin’s (Ahn Hyo Seop) love/hate relationship is definitely the charm of this medical drama. How their story will unfold is worth looking forward to.

See a different Ahn Hyo Seop in this drama. With already a lead role in his portfolio (Abyss opposite Park Bo Young), he is even ready now to show a more serious side of him as an actor. While often described as someone who resembles Nam Joo Hyuk, his take on the character of Dr. Woo Jin will definitely make him shine on his own.

The supporting cast is a mix of both familiar and unfamiliar faces. The original supporting cast reprised their roles for the second season. Doldam Hospital will even get more interesting with the addition of new characters that will bring life, laugh and love to each episode. Be ready to calm your heart also for Do Yoon Wan (Choi Jin Ho) is back as the Chairman of the Great Foundation.

A Filipina actress landed a guest role in one of the episodes. Cherish Maningat, a 34-yr old film, tv and theater actress who is now based in Seoul was seen playing the role of a mother of a Korean kid who is a victim of domestic violence. Her outstanding performance proved that there are no small roles for those who dream big.

Teacher Kim is back with new life lessons to give this new season. He may appear harsh and very straightforward as a mentor but his heart for true service can never go unnoticed. A non-conformist, he will continue to prioritize saving lives first even if it would mean clashing with those seated in power. A character filled with nothing but real-talk and more work is the core of this drama. The brave Teacher Kim (Han Suk Yu) is the kind of life idol we all can learn from.

It gets interesting every episode with the characters revealing themselves more. The very reason why my curiosity keeps on building up. To better understand, I started watching Dr. Romantic Season 1 also. If there’s anything, there’s that sort of regret on why I have only seen this drama now. It is that good. Definitely a must see.
