With a background in street dance, Sung Hanbin is an expert in waacking and tutting, which he’s been practicing and perfecting since middle school. His dance journey started early, and he even shared the same stage with idol groups like Wanna One and BTS as a backup dancer.
Before his idol days, Sung Hanbin was serving up more than just his killer dance moves. He worked at his mother’s café, where he earned his barista license. So you can say that not only can he dance, but he can also whip up a mean latte.
However, Sung Hanbin didn’t stop at dancing as he also pursued his passion academically. He studied in the K-pop performance department at the Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts.
Finally, to be an idol, last February 2023, representing Studio Gl1de, Sung Hanbin participated in Mnet’s reality competition show, “Boys Planet.” On the last episode of the show, he finished with a total of 1,888,414 votes which secured his place as rank 2 in ZEROBASEONE. Following this, Wake One Entertainment announced that the group would debut in July 2023.
Following his continuous success in the industry, Sung Hanbin was named as the new host of Mnet’s M Countdown last September 2023. Additionally, last June 2024, he was announced as the new storyteller for “I-Land 2.”
