Kim Sohyun, Jisoo, and other cast members of “The River Where the Moon Rises” attend first script reading

Kim Sohyun, Jisoo, and other cast members of The River Where the Moon Rises attended its first script reading on January 7, a month before its official premiere.

As seen on the photos officially shared on Thursday, the lead actor and actress were with Lee Jihoon, Kim Beoprae, Wang Bitna, Lee Haeyoung, and Hang Jaeyoung.

They will be teaming up to bring to life the historical drama to the viewers, which is based on a Korean tale about Princess Pyeonggang aka Yeom Ga Jin, plays by Kim So Hyun, who married a hunchbacked commoner named On Dal, which Jisoo has taken.

She is a determined princess who wants to become the first woman to run Goguryeo; however, she will later get emotionally confused upon meeting On Dal.

Jisoo and Kim So Hyun already teamed up in a special KBS2 drama titled Page Turner back in 2016.

The River Where the Moon Rises will be their second drama together and many fans are highly looking forward to it, especially their chemistry.

It is the same Korean drama where Kang Haneul will be having a supporting character as the father of Jisoo‘s role in the drama, General On Hyup.

The two of them already worked together in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo in 2016 as well.

The River Where the Moon Rises will be directed by PD Yoon Sang Ho and is written by Han Ji Hoon; premiering in February of the current year via KBS2 TV.
