Year of 2020 is only two months away! Meaning, there will be newly and fresh Korean dramas which fans will be waiting for. Although we’re still on the page of November, there are various series that have confirmed its airing next year.

New dramas, meaning new oppa and new favorite Korean actresses to many fans for sure! Are you excited to see this great line up of dramas? Are you ready to face your eyebags again?

Here it is, the list of K-dramas that will premiere on 2020.

Call It Like You See It

  • OCN;
  • Starring Girl’s Generation’s Sooyoung and Jang Hyuk; and
  • It is about a temperamental genius profiler and serial killer who both believe that a detective with photographic memory is already dead.

Further Investigation

  • OCN;
  • Directed by Kang Hyo Jin;
  • Starring Cha Tae Hyun and Lee Sun Bin; and
  • About an investigator who teams up with a detective, crime show PD, CEO of a bar, and a funeral director to solve cases.

Half of Half

  • tvN;
  • Will air on March 2020;
  • Starring Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin; and
  • Will tell the story of an artificial intelligence (AI) programmer man; who believes that just a small fraction of a person’s heart is enough for him.

  • Written by Noh Hee Kyung;
  • Starring Shin Min Ah, Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Byung Hun, and Han Ji Min; and
  • It will tell a story of an international non-governmental organization.

I’ll Go To You When The Weather is Nice

  • JTBC;
  • To air in the first half of 2020;
  • Written by Han Ga Ram;
  • Directed by Han Ji Seung;
  • Starring Seo Kang Jun and Park Min Young; and
  • The story focuses on the story of Mok Hae Won (portrayed by Min Young), an ordinary girl with a talent in playing the cello since she was young. With her past experiences, she became distant with the people around her especially with men and decided to lock her heart. Hae Won returns to the place where she lived as a child and eventually meets Im Eun Seop (portrayed by Kang Joon) who will give warmth to her frozen heart.

Kingdom 2

  • Netflix;
  • March 2020;
  • Starring Ju Ji-hoon, Ryu Seung-ryong and Bae Doona; and
  • Will tell the story of a crown prince fallen victim to a conspiracy, setting out on a journey to unveil the evil scheme and save his people from a strange plague that renders the infected immune to death and hungry for flesh.

Love Alarm 2

  • Netflix;
  • Starring Kim So-hyun, Jung Ga-ram and Song Kang; and
  • Love Alarm is an app that tells you if someone within a 10-meter radius has a crush on you. It quickly becomes a social phenomenon. While everyone talks about it and uses it to test their love and popularity, Jojo is one of the few people who have yet to download the app. However, she soon faces a love triangle situation between Sun-oh whom she starts to have feelings for, and Hye-young, who has had a huge crush on her.

Romantic Dr. Kim 2

  • SBS;
  • Will premiere on January 2020;
  • Starring Han Suk Kyu, Lee Sung Kyung, and Ahn Hyo Seop;
  • It is a story which revolves around the lives of medical professionals. Han Suk Kyu will retain his original character as Doctor Kim.

Rugal

  • OCN;
  • Will air on the first half of 2020;
  • Starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Park Sung Woong; and
  • Will tell the story of an elite detective who become a shadow police officer who’s aim is to take down the criminal organization named Argos.

School Nurse Ahn Eun Young

  • Netflix;
  • Directed by Lee Kyung Mi;
  • Written by Jung Se Rang;
  • Starring Nam Joo Hyuk; and
  • Tells the story of a school nurse who has the ability to ward off ghosts. She who also performs exorcisms in an unusual way and comedic manner.

The King: The Eternal Monarch

  • SBS;
  • Written by Kim Eun Suk;
  • To air in the first quarter of 2020;
  • Starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun; and
  • It is a fantasy romance between two people living two parallel worlds.

The Game: Towards Zero

  • MBC;
  • Under PD Jang Jun Ho;
  • Written by Lee Ji Hyo;

  • The Game is a mystery melodrama about a young man who foresee someone’s death and a detective who investigates a murder case.

Welcome

  • KBS2;
  • Will air on March 2020;
  • Starring INFINITE’s Kim Myungsoo and Shin Ye Eun; and
  • It is about a cat that turns into a man named Hong Jo, who always listens to Sol Ah’s confessions about life and her troubles. He then finds a way to help her feel better.

Moreover, there are also dramas from OCN and tvN which you should look forward to. However, these titles are still in process and cast members are not yet confirmed.
