LOOK: “Chief of Staff” sets new record for JTBC premiere ratings

New South Korean political drama Chief of Staff broke the record for JTBC premiere ratings. The pilot episode aired on June 14, 2019.

Based on the statistics given by Nielsen Korea, the drama set a record of 4.4% ratings nationwide with its first broadcast; and 5.6% in the metropolitan area of Seoul, South Korea.

Chief of Staff revolves around politicians and their aides who try to climb up the political ladder. It is also a survival story of the “super” advisor Jang Tae Joon (Lee Jung Jae) who is on his way to having the most power in the nation. Subsequently, it will be aired every Fridays and Saturdays. Moreover, its cast includes Shin Min Ah, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Dong Jun, and Lee Elijah.
