We have recently posted different Korean drama recommendations. Some of it were about the romantic comedy dramas of 2016 and 2018, the recent K-dramas, and more. Now, it’s about time to give the spotlight to horror K-dramas that we shouldn’t miss out on.
Horror genre may sound frightening but did you all know that horror K-dramas are also the best? Binge-watching such genre of dramas will give you the goosebumps, thrill, excitement, and lessons as well.
With that, we did a survey in Annyeong Oppa Group to ask our bes about their favorite horror K-dramas. Below is the compilation of all their suggestions:
Master’s Sun

This tells the story of a distant CEO (So Ji Sub) who has a special connection with Tae Gong Shil (Gong Hyo Jin); who happened to see ghosts.
Let’s Fight, Ghost

This tells the story of Park Bong Pal (Ok Taecyeon) who has the ability to see ghosts. In which, he made use of this power to make money. Thereafter, he met Kim Hyun Ji (Kim So Hyun) who became a wandering spirit.
Kingdom

This tells the story of a crown prince (Ju Ji Hoon) who becomes involved in a political conspiracy. In which, he was forced to take an investigation mission about the spread of a mysterious undead plague that has beset their current emperor.
Oh My Ghost

This tells the story of timid Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) who works as an assistant chef; and can see ghosts. One day, Bong Sun becomes possessed by Shin Soon Ae; who apparently is seductive and has a grudge to resolve. Later on, Bong Sun’s arrogant boss (Cho Jung Seok) begins to notice her changes. Thereafter, more mysteries arise around them.
Save Me

This tells the story of four unemployed young men who face and run to rescue a woman; who apparently is being surrounded by suspicious and whispers, “Save me.” Thereafter, it was revealed that she’s trapped in some kind of religious cult.

This tells the story of doctors and exorcists protecting people in a Catholic hospital.
Guest

This tells the story of a detective, psychic, and Catholic priest who fight against mysterious crimes.
Hwayugi

This tells the story of Son Oh Gong (Lee Seung Gi) and Ma Wang (Cha Seung Won) who are in conflict with each other. Wherein, they look for a true light in a dark world where evil thrives. Thereafter, they both met Jin Sun Mi (Oh Yeon So) who was cursed by seeing ghosts.
The Village: Achiara’s Secret

This tells the story of a village called Achiara which is known for being peaceful with nearly zero crime. Later on, the ugliness and secrets of the idyllic village were revealed.
The Ghost Detective

This tells the story of a detective (Choi Daniel) who catches ghosts. In which, he also tries to unravel mysteries and cases with his assistant (Park Eun Bin).
Phantom

This tells the story of a son of a prominent police officer (So Ji Sub) who wanted to make his own mark. When he becomes a detective, he joined the cyber investigation department. Then, he started working with the secrets and conspiracies of those that hide within the cyber world.
Lovely Horribly

This tells the story of two people with seemingly share fate. Yet, one of them (Park Si Hoo) has all the good luck while the other one (Song Ji Hyo) has all the misfortunes.
Bride of the Century

This tells the story of a family that has been under a curse for 100 years; which runs the Taeyang Corporation.
Black

This tells the story of a detective (Song Seung Hon) who has been possessed by a grim reaper. He tries to uncover the truth behind series of murders and saves the lives of people with Ha Ram (Go Ara).
The Nightmare Teacher

This tells the story of Han Bong Gu (Uhm Kim Joon) who becomes a temporary homeroom teacher after the previous one was hospitalized. Thereafter, mysteries came and the class president needs to solve things before it’s too late.
