Actor Lee Min Ho and Heirs writer Kim Eun Sook will be reunited for an upcoming drama!
On May 7, Hwa&Dam Pictures said in an official press release that its writer Kim Eun Sook is currently preparing for her next project. Wherein, it was also stated that the drama will be called The King: The Eternal Lord; and it was confirmed that Lee Min Ho had been cast as the main lead. In which, the actor and the writer will finally be teaming up again after their 2013 South Korean deama Heirs.
Accordingly, The King: The Eternal Lord is expected to air in the first half of 2020. As mentioned, the drama will be directed by Baek Sang Hoon, who had previously worked with writer Kim Eun Sook in Descendants of the Sun.
Subsequently, The King: The Eternal Lord will be the comeback drama of Lee Min Ho; following his military discharge last April. As stated by Hwa&Dam Pictures, “This is the second time we will be working together after Heirs.” Adding, “He is a trusted actor.”
The King: The Eternal Lord will tell the story of people in parallel worlds which was rarely covered in dramas. There’s this world where the emperor of the Korean Empire seeks to keep the door closed. While, in the other one, a Korean detective tries to keep his life safe together with his loved ones.
