14 K-Drama Actors/Actresses Who Are Celebrating Their Birthdays This Month of June

Remembering someone’s birthday is indeed a very special way to appreciate that certain person. To us, K-drama fans, the birthday of our Oppas/Unnies/Dongsaengs are something that we are looking forward to every year. Some fans, especially those who are members of their idol’s fanclubs are preparing something for their idols such as fan gatherings, charity works, etc.

This month,, there are several K-drama celebrities that will celebrate their birthdays.

So, let’s take a look at the list below and see if your favorite Actors/Actresses are one of them. ^^



Born on 4th of June 1999, So-hyun started acting at a very young age. She was one of the “Nation’s Little Sister” in South Korean entertainment industry. We’ve seen her acting skills on the dramas like Moon Embracing The Sun and Missing You, Hey Ghost, Let’s Fight and The Emperor: Ruler of the Mask.

In 2015, she got her first role as the twins Lee Eun-bi and Go Eun-byul in Who Are You: School 2015 alongside Nam Joo Hyuk and BTOB’s Yook Sungjae

In 2018, we’ve seen a different and more mature side of Kim So-hyun in the Rom-Com Drama, Radio Romance as Song Geu-rim with Highlight’s Yoon Doo-joon.

Also known as Yoochun, he was born on 4th of June 1986. Yoochun started his career as a K-pop idol before taking the new step as an actor.

He was known as Micky, the former member of TVXQ under SM Entertainment.

In 2010, together with Junsu and Jaejoong, they formed the group JYJ and now managed by C-Jes Entertainment.

Yoochun starred in the following dramas such as Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Miss Ripley, Rooftop Prince, Missing You, Three Days and The Girl Who See Smells.







Born on 5th of June 1982. Did you know that Yoo In-na started as a vocal trainee? At the age of 16, she joined an entertainment agency to pursue her goal as a singer but later on she gave up that dream thinking that singing and being an idol is not her destiny.

In 2006, she joined YG Entertainment and pursued acting. After joining her current agency, several supporting roles have been offered to her.

Aside from being a notable actress, she’s currently a Radio DJ for the highest rated Radio show, KBS Cool FM’s Let’s Crank Up the Volume.

In 2016, She starred in Goblin, one of the highest rated cable TV series in South Korea.




Born on 6th of June 1986, Hyun-joong is one of those K-pop Idol-turned-Actor.

He is one of the members of the K-Pop group, SS501. After their successful debut in 2005, he was considered as one of South Korea’s biggest hallyu stars.

In 2009, he starred in the korean adaptation from a japanese manga and highest-rated Korean Drama, Boys Over Flowers alongside Goo Hye-sun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Bum and T-MAX’s Kim Joon.

In 2010, he starred in another korean adaptation from a Japanese manga entitled Playful Kiss as the male lead, Baek Seung-jo alongside Jung So-min.




Born on 7th of June 1970, he became more popular when he starred in the highly-rated fantasy drama, Hwayugi.

He also starred in the popular korean dramas such as Athena: The Goddess of War, The Greatest Love and You’re all Surrounded.




Born on 9th of June 1994, Hye-ri is a member of a girl group, Girl’s Day. She is notable for her role in 2015 south korean drama, Reply 1988 alongside Park Bo-gum and Ryu Jun-yeol.

In 2016, she was at the third place in Forbes Korea’s Power Celebrity List.

Hye-ri also stars in korean dramas such as Hyde Jekyll and Me, Entertainer and Two Cops.




Born on 11th of June 1975, this beautiful lady is one of the most iconic leading ladies of K-drama history. If you knew her and watched all of her dramas, well I would like to welcome you on “Titas of K-drama” world. HAHA!

She starred in some of notable korean melodramas that made us cried back then such as Beautiful Days, Winter Sonata, The Suspicious Housekeeper, Temptation and Stairway To Heaven.

Being a versatile actress, she also starred in these romantic comedy series, Twenty Again and Woman with a Suitcase.

Born on 16th of June 1993, Bo-gum is one of the most sought-after korean actors in our generation.

He gained popularity through his notable acting skills in 2015 k-drama, Hello Monster alongside Seo In-guk and Jang Na-ra. He also starred as a genius GO player in Reply 1988 with another June celebrant Lee Hye-ri and Ryu Jun-yeol.

In 2016, he played the role of Joseon Crown Prince Lee Yeong in the popular k-drama, Love In The Moonlight alongside Kim Yoo-jung, Kwak Dong-yeon, Chae Soo-bin and B1A4’s Jung Jinyoung.

Born on 22nd of June 1987, Lee Min-ho gained popularity not just in South Korea but in some parts of Asia because of his notable role as Gu Jun-pyo in the 2009 hit korean drama, Boys Over Flowers. He’s considered as the Top Hallyu Star due to the success of his dramas and movies.

After Boys Over Flowers, he starred in the k-dramas such as Personal Taste (2011), City Hunter (2011) Faith (2012), The Heirs (2013) and Legend of the Blue Sea (2016).

In 2015, he landed on his first leading role in a movie with Gangnam Blues which is also shown in Philippines, making him more popular here in our country.

Born on 22ND of June 1989, Yong-hwa is the leader of Rock band, CNBLUE. He made his acting debut on 2009 romantic-comedy k-drama, You’re Beautiful alongside Park Shin-hye, Jang Geun-suk and FT Island’s Lee Hong-ki.

In 2011, he reunited with his You’re Beautiful co-star Park Shin-hye in the romantic-musical themed drama, Heartstrings.

This is a trivia to all of you, mga bes. Did you know that Yong-hwa was offered a role in the drama The Heirs but he declined because he thought that the viewers might get “bored” because he already worked with Park Shin-hye in two dramas. (Aww…<3)

In 2017, Yong-hwa starred in a drama entitled The Package alongside with Lee Yeon-hee.

Born on 25th of June 1982, Rain is definitely one of the hottest hallyu stars. He was not only famous in South Korea but all over the Asia and in some parts of US too because of the hollywood movies that he previously starred such as Ninja Assassin and The Prince.

He also starred in the hit k-dramas such as Full House (2004), My Lovely Girl (2014), and Come Back Mister (2016).

Rain is currently on the drama, Sketch alongside Lee Dong-gun, Lee Sun-bin and Jung Jin-young.

Born on 28th of June 1978, Ha Ji-won is also one of the promising k-drama actress. I remember watching her for the very first time on Memories of Bali (2004) and since then I liked her.

She was also known for her notable roles in Hwang Jini (2006), Empress Ki (2013), as well as the rom-com drama Secret Garden (2010) and the medical drama Hospital Ship (2017).




Born on 28th of June 1991, same month and day with his Hospital Ship co-star Ha Ji-won.

Kang Min-hyuk is the drummer of rock band, CNBLUE. Aside from being a musician, he’s also into acting like his co-members Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun and Lee Jung-shin.

He was starred in the popular dramas like Heartstrings (2011), The Heirs (2013), Entertainer (2016) and Hospital Ship (2017).

In 2018, he was starred in a historical movie, The Princess and The Matchmaker alongside Lee Seung-gi, Shim Eun-kyung and Choi Woo-sik.





Born on 29th of June 1990, Son Seung-won is famous for his role in Hello, My Twenties! (2016/2017) series as Im Sung-min and Welcome to Waikiki (2018) as Bong Doo-sik.

In 2015, he starred in the drama, Hello Monster alongside Jang Na-ra, Seo In-guk and his labelmate Park Bo-gum.

Seung-won is most active in musical theatre and in fact was the youngest korean actor to play the lead role in 2013’s Korean staging of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
